The change of scenery probably really helped his game. Just wasn't working as a Bruin. Peverley helped a lot on the Cup run so I can't complain even though Wheeler is a better player now.
Peverley skills set is/was good tho. He was indeed very efficient in the 2011 Cup.

Thanks for the answer, I remember some Bruins fans saying he wasn't using his 6"5 frame enough, the organization and their fans usually like forward that size with skills. Never really noticed that he was always causing offside. Anyway, Chia move paid off, Bs won the Cup, Wheeler production was decressing each year, but tonight really showed me that he can move damn fast for a big man. Anyway, peace out guys.

It's funny how Habs fans think Seguin getting crosschecked hard to the hips and falling is a dive but when Subban back flips in Marchand's presence it isn't a dive. It's too bad we don't have Bruins fan who has nothing better to do than make an hour long youtube video of every dive by the Habs because they would have enough for 20 videos.

Boston has to finish 1st in the NE. Too many great matchups:

1. Pittsburgh
2. Boston
3. Washington
4. Montreal
5. Toronto
6. Ottawa
7. New York Islanders
8. New York Rangers

PIT v NYR ( I smell upset)
BOS v NYI (Great matchup for first round)
WAS v OTT (Battle of the Capital cities)
MON v TOR (Enough said)

I don't see the Rangers stuck in the 8th seed and I don't want us to get stuck playing them. We play them well but the Rangers luck out a win. Must be how the Sens feel when they play us lol.

Maybe because we don't actually know? The details of Plek's injury are kept private at the moment. We don't know the severity, or if he will be in shape to play tomorrow.

We don't even know if it'll be "game time decision".

I would love to see the Flyers squeak in. Pittsburgh would ****.
Unlikely, but they've won their last 4 (including one against the Bs ). They're 2 behind the Rags, but NY has a game in hand.

Yes, for people who like to look for things to get offended by. PC madness. Not that I give a damn.

Either way I see the Pens getting bounced in the first round. They believe their own hype.

Lou I look at it differently. Maybe White is sending his own message, wanna play like that answer the bell yourself.

I'm going to find Kane's comments after and post them, thought they were spot on...

Curiously though, only times he's stood up to take a punch to the face is against other team's offensive (or at the very least talented) players. For instance, 3 NHL fights: Chara, Kane, Foligno. I'd imagine he'd refuse a goon but he'll take a punch if he's removing a team's decent player. Terrible fighter, I think his fighting technique is more related to trying to protect his cheek more so than on the attack.

At end of the day. The complaint is he doesn't fight and now he is. What's the problem?

If it's so dangerous for him to fight then maybe he shouldn't play like Matt Cooke.

He's a puke who will hide behind his metal plate and he didn't really fight last night, Kane didn't give him a choice and beat the crap out of him.

It's just to bad he couldn't land some shots on his face...

There's more, but TSN doesn't have it ... got this though.

"That happens all the time. You're trying to get the other guy's helmet off and sometimes it gets caught in your hand when you're trying to throw a punch. That's what happened. I'm not going to feel sorry about that."

I love the last comment.

I agree with this. If you're going to lay huge hits you can't be surprised when someone wants to fight you. It's going to happen, whether or not the hits are clean or whatever.

It`s the way the game is played these days which I understand but as a 43 year old, I still recall that a big hit did not have to be answered by a guy having to drop the mitts to defend it and rarely did we see what we see now, a 3rd party come in and settle the score for the guy who got hit

Not defending any Hab as in this day, he has to expect it but there are things such as this that often have me wanting a bit of the "old" game I use to watch
