Don't like Blunden but we needed some player to fill the roster.

With DD and Tinordi I think the Habs have the widest height range in the league.

Shows how tough a season it's been for Leblanc, he can't be happy to see Blunden get called up over him but it's the right call. Agree with the other poster that said Bournival should be called up over Leblanc.

There sure are a lot of things to discuss on a thread about Blunden being called up...
To suggest Blunden should be anywhere near the top-9 was pushing it. This guy barely has enough skills to be that in the AHL.

Whatever...

Uh yeah, he did. What is it you wanted him to do more exactly? Take the dude's head off?

I hope he plays with Plekanec and Gionta to finally show that he can put up the points! My favourite player is back!

Always liked Blunden. A player that size who skates that well and hits. He can be a force, if used properly.

Well, not a GFORCE, but a force, nonetheless...

Looked like a grade 7 kid holding on during his first slow dance.

That was pathetic.

I agree. Not sure why people hate on Mikey.

I like Blunden. Always very noticeable when he is on the ice and doesn't make too many mistakes. He has supposedly looked fantastic in Hamilton this season and I thought he looked great whenever he played with the Habs; always used his big frame.

Really don't understand how you could hate him. He does what you expect him to do.

He was the first guy in, and he's not that great of a fighter, but he fought him. So again, not much else he can do besides magically being a better fighter.

First post here on HFBoards, and it deals with Mike Blunden! I really like this guy, strong skater with great speed for his size. He's definitely due for some time in the big league this year. A player with his size only helps this team. He had a stint with the waivers during the offseason, and that really irked me. I'm happy to see him considered with the team, and I hope to have good discussion with my fellow Habs fans!!!!

I liked Blunden. First thing for a guy is to not hurt your team and I didnt see Blunden do that when he played for us. His skating was pretty decent for a big guy and he certainly did hit, which to me is more important than fighting, though he will do that also. Hes fine, I mean he plays on the 4th line right.

its funny. If Blunden was a good and regular fighter, he would be in the Nhl 100% sure. To bad he's not.

He did hurt the team, but it wasn't really his fault. I forgot who he ran over in the rangers game (I think), but he got ejected and we got penalized quite a bit iirc.

Things are getting VERY serious here... There is no reason you would pull Tinordi or Blunden to the Habs without a trade in mind.

I say Leblanc's role is not a need. It's not a knock on Leblanc. Blunden, a less talented forward, has size, speed and fits the bill on a fourth line since our top nine is stacked. Leblanc is better served in the AHL playing 15+ minutes working through and improving his game. In Leblan's case, will have to wait and see where he's at come September.

Yeah, I remember that play and it was Tim Peel the ref who cr*ps the bed every time he calls a Habs game. Even the announcers were surprised by the call.

Blunden should have been here from the start.. Armstrong so far has been a bust although he's great on the PK. Anyone else notice he pulls a Gomez when enters the Zone with the skate hard stop on the boards thing? Crap got sidetracked, so yA happy for blunden. Big body, too bad he can't fight... Wait can he?!

Yeah, get fkn rid of Armstrong. If we can criticize our captain Gionta for being useless he's like a subhuman compared to him.
