Stalberg + Bickell to Montreal

What would Chicago want for these two guys. I don't see them being able to sign them both or any depending on asking price during the offseason.

I think these two guys fit what Montreal would be looking for. Young, speed, along with grittiness in te offensive zone.

Travis Moen of interest with adding to him of course?

Tat is 2/3 of possibly the best third line in the West. Both are UfA at the end of the season but I don't see the Hawks trading either one of those.

I suggest putting up this thread on a day where they both don't collect 3 points if you want them for cheap.

Just was looking at the bigger picture for Chicago maybe losing them to free agency and getting depth back for them, that could help now. If they are geared up for the playoffs with them being part of it just never mind the thread.

Some might argue the Hawks dominant 3rd line is the biggest reason for the uptick in play this year. They sure as heck are not going to trade 2/3 of that dominant 3rd line for Travis Moen.

Would it be nice to get something for one of them? Absolutely, because one of them WILL walk in the offseason. But am I interested in seeing either leave? **** no. I'd rather win a title and lose them both than get back Galchenyuk and not win a title for ten years. Flags fly forever.

i would just try to get Bickell. Maybe both would be a bit too expensive..
anyways i think Bickell is enough for our team, especially for this
year with Bourque, Prust and Ryder coming back in the line-up..
Already we have Prust thats gonna have to play on 4th.

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher
Ryder - Plekanec - Gionta
Galchenyuk - Eller - Bourque
Prust - Dumont - Armstrong/Moen (Bickell)

Neither of these two teams are exactly in a position where they should be looking for a shake up right now.

No, he is saying that there are not enough >'s and AINEC's in the world to explain how much better the Cup is than Galchenyuk.

As much as I'd love to,dump those guys for someone younger and better, there's too much good chemistry here to risk breaking it up. Cup or bust.

You're telling me you want to trade for Bickell if he apparently wouldn't make your 4th line (which is BS by the way)?

The Hawks aren't trading these guys and why the hell do Habs fans keep trying to give Moen back to his old teams (SJ, Chicago)

The Hawks sure aren't going to trade away either of those players, let alone both, during the season. I will not be surprised it all if one or both leave in the off-season, especially since I could see each of them asking for something like $2-3mil per year on the open market, but they can't break up the chemistry that line has had so far this year.

Plus, I don't think they're in much need of a player like Moen who can play 3rd/4th line if/when they do leave. I would expect this would finally be the opportunity for some of their younger guys to get a better look, like Hayes, Morin, Smith, and maybe Beach.

They're only hypothetically being traded for capspace so the only logical return must be cap friendly i.e. picks/prospects/short term 2C option

Let's see:

Moen has played 27 games (11:55 TOI), has 2 goals and 2 assists and is a -1.
Plus (whoever that is)

for

Stalberg has played 28 games (14:10 TOI), has 6 goals and 10 assists and is a +13.
Bickell has played 28 games (12:30 TOI), has 6 goals and 10 assists and is a +8.

NO.

Moen+ wouldn't even be close to landing ONE of them.

Wishful thinking on the OP's part and kind of embarrassing.

Hawks players are better, gonna cost a lot more then Moen(), and Bowman isn't gonna just rip apart his depth to put the Habs on the Hawks level, just isn't gonna happen.

Hawks are the only elite team in the league for a reason, one of them being they don't make silly trades.

You're not understanding it because you are (strangely) choosing to leave out key parts of what she said.

She said, quite clearly, she'd rather keep them both AND WIN THE STANLEY CUP THIS YEAR rather then trade them for Alex Galchenyuk AND NOT WIN FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS.
