It's probably a bit too "buy now" for Toronto fans to swallow, but would the leafs have any interest in putting together a package for Kiprusoff and Iginla? Would Toronto want Kiprusoff?
A beginning proposal might look like:
To Toronto:
Iginla
Kiprusoff
To Calgary:
James Reimer
Joel Colborne
Matt Frattin (I worry this makes it too much but I am not sure who else to put in)
2nd round pick
If it was enough to Calgary, then it could give Toronto a top 6 of:
Lupul Kadri Kessel
JVR Grabo Iginla
(or put bozak in there as needed)
I searched and couldn't find anything like this, even though it's likely been mentioned at some point.

3rd party here , id rather keep kippy and iggy, but there both old, so who knows what type of return they could get.

I think the Flames say no way to that.
And Toronto wouldn't make the deal based on the age of the two players and how the team is being built right now.
flames get ripped off in this deal. better to deal them separately.
leafs might be interested in kipper. i'd be willing to make an offer if he plays well after his injury. he's 36, so its difficult to come up with an offer.
i'd do colborne/ashton, a mid rd prospect, and a second rd pick for kipper (if he plays like his usual self)

I chuckled a bit when you wrote that. Gotta love Leaf fans.

I would love Iginla, but I don`t think he`s the type of player Toronto should be targeting right now. As others have said, he should go to Boston/Pittsburgh/etc.
I would be interested in Kipper though. Not in exchange for Reimer. I have no clue what Calgary's needs are, so I wouldn't try and put a proposal together, but would be interested in hearing from Flames fans what they would want for Kipper in the even he were to be traded.
Kipper is 36 had quite a few injury problems this year and only makes 1.5 million next year so he might just retire.
Iginla is a UFA and Toronto isn't at a place yet to be trading for pending UFAs. Trading Frattin, Colborne, 2nd would rob the Leafs of their depth and cheap young contracts but the value is fair if you look at big pending UFA trades from recent seasons like Kaberle, Hossa, Kovalchuk.
