It really depends how this team does before the trade deadline. If they manage to get enough OT points to stay in the hunt, sure keep him.

If the team finally starts losing like we expected them to do after the Spezza injury (then Karlsson, then Anderson), then we'll listen to offers.

Perhaps pick a fight and get the group going with some much needed momentum

You think? You know... I doubt it. If anything the 1st period will be a wake up call for Ottawa. I expect much more jump and some of our younglings to provide offense.

Need to break out the smelling salts for the second. We have all the urgency of a turtle in a hammock.

Isolating one forward instead of Regin or Condra wouldn't be fair since he wasn't directly responsible for losing the puck or making a bad play.

On the second goal a few guys could be blamed but it was Smith who gave up the turnover leaving the zone and a few guys covered it badly. We could easily point to lots of other bad plays since no one had a particularly good 1st period.
This is what I was saying. Gonchar had already gone up to the point, too, so Kassian had to turn back around but elected to try and block the shot. Don't really see how he can be blamed for that goal given the situation.

Yep...Gonchar was staring right at the puck, too! Oh well. Probably wouldn't have been able to sit fast enough anyway Stafford was there pretty quickly.

So that makes it less likely the Sens will come back?
