cbc needa to get some better production values for their western telecasts

the nashville game done by tsn on thursday made gm place sound semi-lively... tonight you can barely even hear john ashbridge on public address announcements

i know rogers arena is a pretty quiet rink but its not the morgue that hnic makes it appear to be

I don't think anyone called his great, just clearly better than Gustafsson.

This team is not very good right now. 7th place would be a bit of a luxury based on how it's going.

Gillis should put Newell Brown, Keith Ballard and David Booth in a cab and send them as far away from Vancouver as he possibly can.

Not sure which it is for us, but I do know the referees have been consistently biased TOWARDS Detroit for years. Seriously, I don't know how they get away with so much crap. At least Kronwall hasn't pulled one of his dirty hits again.

I actually really like these uniforms, I wouldn't mind them long-term if they toned down those barberpole arms.

It's essentially Datsyuk, Howard, and ourselves that are beating us right now. Detroit's team game has been nothing special tonight.

If they open up the game against the Wings they will get run out of the rink. This type of hockey is higher percentage, boring or not.

It's all for not though if they don't get any depth scoring. Even as a fluke shot. They need at least one goal from the depth ranks, or it's good night.

Garrison (along with Tanev) has been our best D man for a long stretch now. He looks like Hamhuis looked last year. Incredibly steady.

That was the usual Canucks second period, casual, laid back and not a chance to score..

Third period should be it for them, they can tie the game..if not, This coaching staff can have their post game meal at the Esso gas station

Reffing is beyond frustrating. Putz MacCauley wants to show everyone he's the MAN

Team is really fragmented and disjointed. Kind of goes that way when you don't have any centers other than Henrik.

Yup. It's Edler and (surprisingly) Hamhuis that need to find consistency.

From the 10 game mark or so on Garrison and Tanev have been our most dependable D men. Bieksa has been the "best" when he's on, but he's inconsistent. Hamhuis has been in and out all year, and Edler has been bad more than he's been good.

Garrison has not been stellar all year. He has improved and become steadier as time has passed, but he had a horrendous start and did not look anything like what we were being sold he was.

This is so true and you can see it. It's shocking to see Higgins having to take defensive zone draws on the PK. He's doing an admirable job, but Gillis absolutely needs to find a center. Even when Kesler is healthy, we need one more top 9 center on this team badly.

Our bottom 6 is in shambles because of the injuries, as well. It'd be a lot easier to get by if players didn't have to play positions they're not used to, especially with wingers having to play center.

I'm not saying i disagree, but who knows. I'd like to see the team go balls to the wall and just see what happens. I mean, we've got some pretty speedy players and Detroit isn't the high flying team they used to be.
