Can't take Florida lightly. Islanders have a poor record against them on the road.

Today a the D Rex Dungeon we have corned beef and to drink HVE Preferred, a home brew made
from old Hal Engel's 75 year old secret recipe.

JJ is sitting tonight since Colin McDonald is ready to go

Also it looks like Scott Clemmensen (4.15GAA, .858 sv) is tonight's starter for Florida..

The "casting crew" of this team is questionable: Reasoner on the 3rd line, putting Grabs with Reasoner, Grabner's ice time, sitting Ullstrom for long stretches, etc...

But even with us losing 5 or 6 in a row, we're .500 and that's something.

A must win.

I can't wait to watch this exciting matchup of 2 marquee teams.

Islanders 9
Panthers 1

I read the Panthers GDT earlier today and was waiting for ours to pop up so I could say the same thing.

Goc is their 1st line centre....? OUCH bro.

Let the Panthers serve as a reminder that our team HAS made progress. It's been slow and not always measurable, but this season we're starting to see some of it.

**** your right....

What I meant to say is that this team simply is no good. We have one bright spot in JT, but ???'s everywhere else! Okposo and Reasoner are simply the worst players in the league and Nino Strome, Nelson and Reinhart will never amount to anything. Lets ship them all off for Luongo!

2-0! It's a power play goalll!!! Kennedy scored on a sharp angle shot, the only one of the PP.

Can't believe I'm watching a game and rooting for the Pens...

Poor Hamrlik couldn't hold the puck at the blue line and it led to a penalty.

and WOW! now 3-0. nice play by Dupuis.

a win by the Isles tonight would make for an extra juicy Hockey Night.

Looking at the current standings, between spots 6 and 13, the Isles have the fewest wins in regulation and OT (10).

So we must hold leads and avoid reaching shootouts (even though it's an Isle strength).

It would be devastating to tie for 8th and not get in because of that tiebreaker.

They've made progress too. Weiss, Versteeg, Upshall, Jovanovski, Kulikov, etc. all missing from that lineup. We would look abysmal with similar injuries.

I don't think that their forwards have any kind of identity. Just a bunch of guys they brought in to see what sticks.

Weiss and Versteeg are rumored to be on their way out anyway.

JOVO is old and doesn't bring what he used to.

Upshall is complimentary at best. Only Kulikov on that list will have any kind of impact for them moving forward.

Rangers lost, Ottawa losing, this could be a big day for the Islanders.
