I actually saw him quite a bit in the AHL but I'm wondering what you guys think of him? He has the potential to be the best fighter in the league but I'm talking more about his skill level.

He seems like a decent skater for his size, can he play a regular shift in the NHL?

I absolutely love the guy, he's an intimidating force on the ice and he can actually play hockey unlike guys like Scott or Big Mac. He pretty much won every fight he was in this season and his beatdown of Rupp today was pretty fun to watch.

He is not a good player but for a goon he is pretty good at hockey. Also he is probably one of the best fighters in the league. It's funny because I wasn't that big of a fan of his when he was in the AHL but now in the NHL he is one of my favourite players.

The Rupp fight is kind of what had me wondering how his actual play has looked this year.

Not a "good" player but for a 6'6 guy who can fight anyone in the league and probably win hes good at hockey.. does that sound accurate?

Yes it does.

For a goon, he's been a great surprise at the whole hockey thing. He moves a lot better than it looks like he should, he does a decent job of holding onto the puck and not giving it up right away, and is a truck on the forecheck.

As far as goons go he doesn't embarrass himself out there, but I think he's still seeing way too much ice time for a guy with as limited skills as he has. He's still too slow and not smart enough to be a consistent physical threat out there. His biggest asset is intimidation.
