First Round: #2 Baie-Comeau vs. #15 Sherbrooke

Forgot this one, official.

The little expansion franchise that could ... Make the playoffs ... Damn, I was looking forward to another top 10 Euro pick lol.

Sherbrooke allow a lot of goals, and Baie-Comeau fill the net a lot ... As lopsided as this matchup is, the crowd in Sherbrooke and excitement from just making the playoffs in year 1 will allow them to take Game 3 ... But that's it ...
Drakkar in 5.

Schedule

Game 1 - Fri Mar 22 | 7:30 PM | Sherbrooke 2 @ Baie-Comeau 6

Game 2 - Sat Mar 23 | 4:00 PM | Sherbrooke 1 @ Baie-Comeau 8

Game 3 - Tue Mar 26 | 7:00 PM | Baie-Comeau @ Sherbrooke

Game 4 - Wed Mar 27 | 7:00 PM | Baie-Comeau @ Sherbrooke

Game 5 - Fri Mar 29 | 7:30 PM | * Sherbrooke @ Baie-Comeau

Game 6 - Sun Mar 31 | 4:00 PM | * Baie-Comeau @ Sherbrooke

Game 7 - Tue Apr 2 | 7:30 PM | * Sherbrooke @ Baie-Comeau

Baie-Comeau lead series 2-0

I can see Sherbrooke perhaps surprising Baie-Comeau with a win in game 3 or game 4. So I'll say Baie-Comeau in 5.

When was the last time an expansion team won a playoff game?

Didn't the Fog Devils make it and win in their first year ?

Yup I think that was it. Cape Breton beat them in 5 games, but they surprised them in overtime in game 2.
