Can't decide if you are trying to troll me or are brain dead.

Crean did not destroy the program. End of story.

I didn't say he did. I'm saying he took over a good program and kept it going. People act like he took over penn state

You said that he drove the program into the ground. Now you're backtracking?

You said the program was at rock bottom. Clearly this is predicated on the 6-25 season. That season doesn't happen if Crean didn't run off a ton of really good players. I contend that the program was actually in worse shape at the end of the Mike Davis era. That was rock bottom.

Cubs released 2010 first rounder Hayden Sampson
I remember when they took him. When they announced the pick, the general consensus was, "WTF???" Most scouts had him pegged as a 3rd- or 4th-rounder, and were doing a : facepalm : when the Cubs took him with the 16th pick in the draft.

Guys who were selected after him in that same first round:

Gary Brown, OF, San Francisco Giants (#38 on Baseball America's 2012 Top Prospect List)
Zack Cox, 3B, St. Louis Cardinals (#88 on Baseball America's 2012 Top Prospect List)
Jesse Biddle, LHP, Philadelphia Phillies (#89 on Baseball America's 2013 Top Prospect List)
Zach Lee, RHP, Los Angeles Dodgers (#62 on Baseball America's 2012 Top Prospect List)
Aaron Sanchez, RHP, Toronto Blue Jays (#65 on Baseball America's 2013 Top Prospect List)
Noah Syndergaard, RHP, Toronto Blue Jays (#54 on Baseball America's 2013 Top Prospect List)
Taijuan Walker, RHP, Seattle Mariners (#18 on Baseball America's 2013 Top Prospect List)
Nick Castellanos, 3B, Detroit Tigers (#21 on Baseball America's 2013 Top Prospect List)
Mike Olt, 3B, Texas Rangers (#22 on Baseball America's 2013 Top Prospect List)

It was at rock bottom when the players left after the 07-08 season, which in turn led to said 6-25 season. Crean begged guys to stay, they didn't want to. I can't blame them. There was nothing going for the program at that point.

Crean walked into a program with nothing, and you're an absolute fool if you want to deny that.

I can't watch the replay, did his leg break or was that his knee?

Broke both his fibula and tibula, both sticking out, leg dangling there. Man, that is stomach turning.

@zschonbrun: Several Louisville players appeared to vomit on the bench

@adam_smithTN: Incredibly, incredibly nasty right in front of us. Bone sticking out of Kevin Ware's leg.

Saw it live.

He was laying down, and lifted his leg up, and his tibia was sticking out with the rest of his leg literally dangling.

Gruesome ****.

Rios / Alvarado II was amazing, hell of a fight, can't wait for III. If Gatti / Ward is your brand of boxing, it's back with these two maulers, don't miss the third.

Lot of people saying that's the worst injury they've ever witnessed in a sporting event. That's bad, but I think Robin Ventura sliding into home and his foot twisting the opposite way was just as bad.

And for my money, Malarchuk literally almost bleeding to death on the ice is still probably the worst I've seen.

Theismann is up there in the team picture too.

There's two major league caliber starters, Altuve and Chris Carter.

Nelson Cruz batting 6th? What a joke. Drafted him expecting he'd hit 4th with no Hamilton, or 5th at the worst. David Murphy seriously hitting ahead of him? Get your head out of your ass, Ron.
