I feel bad for RNH and Eberle getting offensive plugs like Jones, Harski and Smyth on their line game after game.

Is Omark still in the playoffs?

Yak has negative confidence right now and every game he tiptoes and over thinks every move so as not to lose the puck and get benched like every game.

Poor yakupov.

I don't. Let's not act like they've been playing great hockey this season.

Not really. He accumulates points on the PP, as most offensive rookie defensemen do.

He's not much of a factor offensively at even strength, and is actually somewhat of a liability in the defensive zone 5on5.

That's not too worrying - he's a rookie defenseman. It's to be expected. He's a bottom-pairing even strength defenseman at this point struggling with top-4 ice time.

To make things worse, he's not even being sheltered by a true top-4 partner, as N.Schultz is just as bad.

Ideally, if we're to keep J.Schultz in the top-4, I'd like to see:

Whitney-Petry
Smid-J.Schultz
Fistric-N.Schultz

I honestly believe R.A. Dickey throws his knuckleball harder than Smyth can shoot a puck. That was an absolute rocket by Weber. I don't think a hay bale would have stopped that either. Here we go again tied going into the 3rd, maybe they can pull out the win for a change.

I think it's good for them - they need to be reminded that they can't always dangle around the whole team and sometimes need to dump and chase to set up a cycle.

It has nothing to do with Yaks game.

At the end of the second period Dubey knows he has to switch ends and Yak knows he's benched.

Josi looks like a pretty solid dman for the Preds. Gets some good scoring chances as well.

The only thing he's got left offensively is a ridiculously weak slapper from the slot and a ridiculously obvious wraparound from behind the net.

Ebs just dropped him the puck and he blasts it into the shinpads of the first defender.
Don't forget Smyth's breakaway backhand move that belongs in a peewee practice.

I think the Oil will win despite Ralph's best efforts to the contrary.

He took a puck in the face at the end of the period.

I don't mind the combos minus Smyth on the top line. The problem lies when Krueger starts mix mashing the lines near the end of the 2nd period and the entire 3rd.

The Oilers did need to make 3 stable scoring lines.

Jones will get back to his form once again. That being said, he's not a top line player for sure.

Each game that goes by, I'm liking that Hall - Horcoff - Hemsky line.

As well as the MPS - Gagner - Yakupov line as well.

I really wish they'd go back with the Hall - RNH - Eberle line for the third. Get some dominance going.

Good for them? It sucks the offensive life out of them. Maybe if Jones/Smyth/Hartikainen had some speed or had any idea how to properly cycle, it would be good for them but those guys are too slow to keep up in a dump and chase game, they are always behind the play and when they get the puck behind the net they (Smyth and Jones) can't handle the puck or in Hartikainen's case, he hoge the puck.
RNH and Eberle aren't helping the cause either. It seems like they got a heart transplant in the offseason and have decided to cruise through each game instead of asserting themselves.
