Good for them? It sucks the offensive life out of them. Maybe if Jones/Smyth/Hartikainen had some speed or had any idea how to properly cycle, it would be good for them but those guys are too slow to keep up in a dump and chase game, they are always behind the play and when they get the puck behind the net they (Smyth and Jones) can't handle the puck or in Hartikainen's case, he hoge the puck.
RNH and Eberle aren't helping the cause either. It seems like they got a heart transplant in the offseason and have decided to cruise through each game instead of asserting themselves.
What offensive life? They haven't had offensive life even when paired with other offensive players. Jones has some speed and is able to cycle, Harski is great at cycling and driving the puck to the net or throwing the puck out front.
Eberle and RNH have been perimeter players, they need guys that are bigger and can win puck battles along the boards.
Smyth is still decent at doing the PK thing but I agree that he's way too slow to be of much use in the "chase" part of dump and chase.
