What's up with Krejci, any words on if he's out or will he hopefully be back soon?

On the whole, the Bruins looked bad against Pittsburgh in two straight games. The Bruins' most recent efforts against Pittsburgh and Montreal are a little unsettling. Not that they lost, but HOW they lost...

As for what to do about it... I think some line-juggling is in order. If Krejci is out for a while, maybe time to move Seguin to Krejci's line (as a center), and fill the wing spots with call-ups until a trade can happen.

I'd like to see Jarome Iginla on the Bruins. Perhaps a # 1 pick could dislodge him? Any other ideas?

I guess the "Trade Krejci", "he's overrated", "he does not try" people get their wish....we get to see what we are like without him, hopefully only short term.

Claude has to coach now. He came into the season with his lines and his pairs set. Injury, as with all teams, has crept into the picture.

I don't know what we will do if I am honest. I do know Chiarelli, if his hand was not forced before, has his hand forced now. This team needs forwards, badly.

If Krech is out long term Peverley moves into the top 6, which I can live with but that leaves the 3rd line PAINFULLY thin.

I don't think we can throw Spooner on this team unless we really blow the lines up. Where does he play? The third line? Caron - Spooner - ????????? if Peverley moves up? I don't like the look of that at all.

I don't know what we do.

I don't even want Seguin with Lucic and Horton as his wingers. Lucic and Seguin are fine together, Horton on that line is too slow. I would probably go with Peverley on that top line for some needed speed with Seguin.

Something like?

Lucic-Seguin-Peverley
Marchand-Bergeron-Horton
Caron-Spooner-Paille?
Oldscrub-Campbell-Thornton

Either way, our forward lines look like ****.

Rely on the kids unless you're ready to overpay big time for any kind of upgrade.

He is not the most visible player on that line unless he doesn't play his game, then he becomes the most visible. Krejci takes plenty of heat on here, you and I both know it.

Horton is dead weight (sorry Lou) but he has to go.

Lastly, that center your referring to is also the best player in the NHL and Kunitz is not Paille....I think your being a little off there.
Great thought here Jamie....I'm thinking Chia and Co think Nate may be expendable as well..

This statement doesn't make much sense as most people that want to trade Krejci would expect something in return

I'd love to, if I am honest.

Who does he play with?

Caron - Spooner - Paille?
Caron - Spooner - Pandolfo?

That is hideous. No matter what we do we have needed a third line winger all year. Any Krejci injury does not change that in my opinion.

We've needed a third line winger since camp started, I think we need two now.

This will work itself out if Chiarelli can get a third line winger who has the capability to play in the top 6. We don't need a 40 goal scorer, we need a guy who is god on the forechek and had size.

If they want to get radical they can go:

Lucic - Seguin - Peverley
Marchand - Bergy - Horton
Caron - Spooner - Paille
McD - Soupy - Thornton

I dunno...any combination I use looks terrible.

I do. Pretty terrible overall, not as bad as our last game against the Pens at least.

And any time you trade Krejci we end up with a hole in the lineup and it only gets worse next year with him out of the lineup.

He is a KEY cog.

I know it's beating a dead horse, but I can't ****ing stand Pandolfo in our lineup. The guy does absolutely NOTHING to contribute. Let Macdermid play and get some minutes, worse case scenario is it adds another tough body to the lineup. That bottom 6 could really use someone like him on the fourth line instead Pandolfo.

It was a good game. Bruins could've tied it up easily, but no luck. They outshot them and kept the highest scoring team to 2 goals. Some posters make it sound like we got blown out of their building. The game could've went either way. One thing I wish is that they would play more physical vs the pens. Tired of Neal taking long runs at Chara all game. Wish Boychuk had laid out Crosby when he had a chance, but he pulled back for whatever reason and gave up a 2 on 1. The pen's strategy of fierce forcheck works very well vs the Bs and they know it. But their defense is worse than ours.
