Alex Burmistrov & Paul Postma

Both of these guys seem to have fallen out of favour a bit recently in Winnipeg, however still have potential that hasn't been reached. Although Burmi has shown flashes and has been tremendous defensively he isn't buying into Noel's system and I don't think he is in the Jets long term plans. Postma may end up being a victim of a numbers game having Buff, Bogo, Redmond, and Trouba (probably still a year or two away) at RHD, he seems like the most likely guy to move.

The Jets biggest need is a top 6 RW, so that's what we'd be looking for. We aren't looking for aging vets on bad contracts or rentals. Not sure if that package can get us what we're looking for, but its worth a shot.

Burmistrov is young, need more patience.
Postma is the more likely to be moved for a mid rd pick?

Ideally not a pick for Postma, more like forward or left handed D help. To further your point, it sounds like Trouba is more like 0-1 years away from the NHL. He's one of the best defensemen in college hockey already. He's probably better than Postma already, just still a fair amount unpolished.

Burmistrov I'm not sure they'd be ready to move yet. Antropov, Miettinen and Wellwood are all ahead of him in the top 9, but are all impending UFA's. Noel is one of those coaches that really rely on their veterans in the big games. I don't think it makes sense to trade Burmistrov because he got benched for a week.

I agree, he needs at least another season before you can tag him as trade bait.
For Postma, how about Pyatt?

As a package I can't see it being worth as much to anyone else as we could get packaging them separately with picks or other players. They both have a fair bit of potential, but I wouldn't expect any franchise to offer much for a package of just the 2 of them.

Unless it's to Ace. And he can keep his dog, guitar, and arm for the rest of his soul. Mwahahaha.

You are not going to get fair value for Burmi, just keep him.

They wouldn't. Burmi is not going anywhere. Postma, maybe. But not Burmi.

so a ppg player for a rookie dman...kid you're just embarrassing yourself...first line player for a top 4 dman and a prospect is more than a reasonable offer.

Bogosian is not a 'top 4 ' defensemen. He's a 22 year old top pairing defencemen that plays with a physical edge.

Would love to add Burmistrov and Postma both to the Stars.

Not really sure what we could offer though, especially if you're looking for youth.

Roy + Robidas would be pretty good if you guys are looking to go somewhere this year, but I doubt that. Maybe add a conditional 3rd, becomes a 2nd if Roy doesn't re-sign?

You embarrassed yourself with your original proposal, you have no idea what kind of defencemen Bogosian is and what his potential is, you should start watching hockey kid.

I could see postma being moved. He is rfa, and could get us a depth forward.

I dont see, Burmistrov getting moved at any point in the near future

Hey guys. I'm terrified of moving Burmi for anything. If we ever do trade him, I have a feeling there would be threads about him for years on HF Boards. Can you believe the Jets traded Burminator for that??? haha.

And definitely won't be trading him to a division rival. If Burmi figured it all out playing against us and for a division rival - in the new playoff format - well, Chevy'd likely be murdered before he was fired.

See y'all in October!

Burmistrov could learn a lot from Datsyuk...

I may be alone on this. But as a Sens fan I would enjoy having Burmi here. I know Ondrej is a great goalie, but how about something around Bishop and a 2nd or 3rd for Burmi. Lets Pavelec get some rest and have solid goaltending still. I feel like it isn't enough but I have no idea. Maybe someone like Regin instead of the 2nd?

Bishop is interesting. But I think we'll be fine getting a backup to play 20 - 25 games per season considering the goalie glut that's likely to hit this summer.

As much as I really really really really don't want to trade Burmi, I'd take that deal.

I would love to have Burmi, but not for the price it would cost.
