I'd sit Backs in Vancouver and start him at home where he is dominant. Thats just me though..

Hope the Wild can find some good luck in Vancouver for once and pot some goals on Luongo..even with all the injuries to Vancouver its hard to see the Wild win this one for me..

4-2 Vancouver.

He's actually dominated the Wild at home..if this was at the Xcel it'd be a different story however!

Backs usually plays poorly vs Detroit no matter what building. Datsyuk gets him moving too much (you get Backs moving, you have him beat). I think that's the bigger influence on which game he's getting rested in. Backs has at least succeeded at times vs the Nucks.

Spurgeon could shoot the puck right into the goal and some morons would still blame Backs for letting in a soft one. the majority of goals he's let in in the last 10 games have been weird. bank shots off defensemen, tips, strange bounces off the end boards. I think he needs a break too but as with Harding, way too many people underestimate the talent gap between Backs and our backup. Fatigue will play a factor though...You got nerves on one end or fatigue on the other as possible problems and you have to figure out which one is the least poisonous vs your opponent that night.

That is such a horrible fact. As a result, maybe that means before we officially part in the same division, this will change... tonight!

It's not like this is Hackett's NHL debut. I'll take those "nerves" over Backstrom's fatigue tonight.

Backs needs to go in this game, Vancouver and 1st in the division is on the line=your best goalie plays.

He will get 4 days off before having to play Saturday against San Jose, Hacket will be the likely starter in Detroit on Wed.

Rupp came off ice early and won't play; Zucker in and on fourth line #mnwild #Canucks

Via Russo.

good. this way if Bouchard reverts to tentative play we have an instant fix on the fourth line.
I look for burrows to get under bouchards skin early.

Zucker getting the Granlund treatment. According to Russo, he is on the 4th line. Rupp out.

I don't like the 4th line that way.

Rupp was doing well there, and we need to punish the Canucks to be successful IMO. Zucker will be fine, but I like to have more grit on the 4th.

I'm not going to read anything into Zucker's 4th line spot. This is just one game and he's coming off an injury. If it continues, then I'll start complaining.

I was joking, perhaps I should have been more clear about it.

Yeah, it makes total sense for Zucker to start on the 4th line.

He's coming back from a concussion and we all know his history. Hopefully he will still feel good after the game.

Because the Sedins are mainly north-south players...

Backs get lit up like a Christmas tree by those two too often.

So, Clutterbuck, who could play on the fourth line, stays on the third. Heatley, who hasn't been trying at all stays on the third. And our third line has been so dominant... I'll at least give Brodziak some credit that he tried pretty hard last game.

Then Zucker, a slightly undersized, slightly injury prone, just coming off an injury, gets thrown on the fourth line.

Well alright then.

I agree. This doesn't make sense.

It makes perfect sense, ease him back in slowly...limit risk as he's coming back from a concussion.

I agree with that.

What doesn't make sense to me is putting him on the fourth line, where you have someone like Konopka, who has a gift for pissing off the opposing team, making them play way more physical when he's on the ice.

Who knows, we shall see.

Yeo just does things that don't make sense to me in full. Partially, yes, but sometimes they're headscratchers. I guess it's working, kind of, so I'll just wait to see the results.
