Yes, and they won the JT Brown sweepstakes last season by promising him NHL ice time right away, both giving him experience and burning a year off his ELC.

I imagine they made the same promises to Sustr.

That and he probably saw a pretty good opportunity watching them defend last night.

These guys choose weak teams that promise NHL ice. Odds are heavily stacked against VAN nabbing Laganiere. Hope against hope.

also probably afraid the canucks would rush him into the lineup to play winger on the 4th line.

I thought Ebbett, Pinner, and Gordon in our line-up would increase our chance.

We have the inside track with him being at our prospects camp and saying that he enjoyed it a lot and likes Vancouver as a city and organization.

I'm not getting my hopes up too high but we're probably near the top for Laganiere.

How does Price compare to Dekeyser?

Price Height 6.01 -- Weight 175

36 games 6g 14a 20p 12pim

Dekeyser Height 6.03 -- Weight 186

35 games 2g 13a 15p 22pim

Statistically they are very close. How are their playing style?

Eric Hartzell (G) (Sens)

Surprised by this one given they have Anderson and Lehner blocking the way long term.

I'd be happy with either, I'd be ecstatic with both.

I'll likely be disappointed with neither.
We are fine on the Backend, that's our strength in prospects/ And Laganiere is a winger.

These UFA's are always really hyped but you gotta remember they don't always pan out. Matt Gilroy and Tyler Bozak are good examples of this, Gilroy is a depth defenseman and Bozak is a good player now but I am sure people expected more.

It would have been great to get him but Laganiere impressed me more anyways.

That's the level I always expect from college guys. Anything more is just a bonus.

I seem to recall someone saying on here that he was back at centre.
