I might be wrong, but I don't think we get anything.

Here's a good article (in french) about Wenger by Pascal Milano
http://www.lapresse.ca/sports/soccer...rew-wenger.php

Quick summary for those who don't understang french

-Wenger says that he would obviously like to play more, but he's aware of the situation he's in and he'll take things one day at a time. He understands that the team is on a great run and he's there to cheer them on and will be ready when called upon.

-He also says that he's trying to learn as much as possible from MDV (let's hope he learns how to finish from someone else ). He's also working on his runs and moving more to make it harder on the opposing D to cover him.

-Biello on Wenger : His shot is one of the best on the team (left and right foot), he's fast and strong. Those are the qualities of a true striker.

Reading that quote from Biello, I think it's pretty clear the team wants him to be a striker.

Have to agree about his shooting. As I stated previously, he has one amazing shot when needed, and precise as well. He can shoot it from distance with power, or from short range with precision. The way he striked the ball against Lyon made me think of Dennis Bergkamp or Luis Suarez (The shot itself, not the player)

That shot alone makes me think he can be a good striker. He's also shown he can be a good playmaker. I think if/when we give a fair shot, he'll prove why he was drafted 1st.

Anyone watched the game between France and Spain? Benzema hasn't be able to score over the past 1000 minutes of play with the EDF, wow...

Disappointed with Valentin's departure. Might explain why he wasn't being played, maybe they knew all along that he was leaving to Europe. Wish him all the best.

I know. Olivier Giroud or Loic Remy should play more often. And the EDF have to spread out their play. Everything comes from Ribery, its way too previsible at this moment of time.

Just saw the video of Ouimette. Ferrari is a great veteran. 33 Years old. I think hes got 2-3 years max left in to him, hopefully we can exploit it to the maximum. From the outside, I always thought he never really liked MTL, and that he just was using Montreal to get in the MLS before eventuallly moving to Los Angeles or New York. But its not the case. He seems to really like it. Just is very calm on the outside and rarely shows his emotions

The loan for Valentin might be great for us long term as well.

The term is probably one year, and if he wants he can probably stay there or transfer to anywhere else in the world. But Montreal owns his MLS rights for the next 2-3 years.

So he could conceivably come back next season much improved. If he improves considerably but we for some reason don't have room for him? we can sell his rights to another team.

Great situation all round.

Also I love that he's going to Norway of all places, its not a place I would have guessed. It means the team has some level of networking going on with that team or that league, which bodes well for scouting for talent in the long term.

Bernier played there and I remember him praising the league.

He played in Denmark, not Norway if I'm not mistaken.

He also played in Norway. In fact, that was the first european country he played in when he left the impact for the 1st time.

I got Mexico 2-1 on this.

Dos Santos & Hernandez for Mex
Gonzalez (Or Dempsey, cant chose ) for USA

EDIT: Woah, Beasley gets away with one there. Free kick given on the 18 yard line. Looked like inside the box to me.

I'm guessing Zusi will be back for SKC this weekend?

Foul off the corner, ball proceeds to go wide of the net, and commentator is calling it a goal if it wasn't for the ball. Need glasses?

Laurent on the Beasley foul, when they showed the replay, it looked like the initial contact occured just outside the box.

For sure, but doubt he plays the full 90. Depends on how much he plays today.

Really weird reffing this game so far. CONCACAF. Stadio Azteca in Mexico is sold out at 96K. Its buzzing..Loving that ESPN have 1 Mexican analyst (I don't know his name), and 1 American (Taylor Twellman). Making for some good sound bytes and debates lol

Yep, saw the replay as well. Good call by the ref. At first view though without replay I was sure it was a PEN.

Mexico looking really deadly going forward.

The atmosphere looks insane!

Taylor Twellman keeps referring to the other guy as Alejandro, don't know his last name though lol

And yeah, thought for sure it was going to be a PK when it first happened. Great call by the ref on that one.

Looking at this level of play makes me realize how far back we[Canada] are. No chance in hell we would be able to compete with these guys, even less qualify for the world cup. Beautiful play by Mexico. How did Chicharito not score from 5 yards out loll

Alejandro=Alejandro Moreno (Venezuelian INT & Former MLS Player)

Chicharito should've scored there. Unless USA changes something on D, there's no way they win this.

I was thinking the exact same thing earlier lol.

Doesn't look like Zusi touched the ball on that tackle.
