When I was a YOUNG teen (1969) the Mets, Jets and Knicks all won. The Rangers... not so much
And, as an old guy, this past year, after many decades of futility, I was able to watch the Kings hoist the cup. I traveled to Phoenix, and New Jersey for late round road games as well.
I guess I was technically a Vols fan back when they won their National Title, though not long after that I stopped giving a ****. That probably doesn't count, huh?

I am going with in my Lifetime as the 1st Mets and both Knicks titles I was a young scrapper but I'm still counting them
Mets - 69 and 86
NY Giants - 87, 91, 08, 12
Islanders 80 81 82 83
Knicks 70 and 73
Notre Dame Football 73 77 and 88
USA Hockey 80 Olympic and 1996 World Cup of Hockey
I forgot about the Pens. When I was a kid I was a big fan of theirs, so their championships in the early 90s count. I'm not counting 2009 since the Preds were here.
Tennessee- I was only 6 when they won the NC in 98.
BoSox- vaguely remember the 04 championship. I can remember the 07 one much better.
Grizzlies- nothing
Titans- zilch
Preds- nada
So as you can see, I've done very, very well. Especially the double championship in 2009. Baseball ends in October and Lacrosse starts in March. So for 4 months I was walking around with two of these ****in things, and it was unforgettable
Just wish I've had more hockey success because that's really where my heart lies. As you can see it's the only sport where I follow more than one team because it's hockey. I need more dammit

NCAAF: tOSU in 2002.
MLS: Crew with the MLS Cup in 08, and Supporters Shields that year and next. (There've been others but I wasn't watching during that time.
NHL:
Don't bother to follow MLB, the NBA, NCAAB, or the NFL.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
Well, a real sportsfan has no choice, since below the M-D line the only thing that exists is college football, and football is made to play in the snow, not shirtsleeves!

The Mason Dixon line is to far north. It's the Southern Border of PA, I do not consider Maryland 'South'
And I was born in NH, do you think I'm going to root for Dartmouth or Boston College? Hell no.

Army brat here. Born in Murfreesboro, TN and lived half my life in St. Louis (West StL County) but was always reminded I was from Tennessee.
A team in Nashville was about the only thing that could've made me 'turn-coat' on the Bluenotes much like it has been with the Cardinals. If the Rays or another AL team moved to Nashville, i'd be hard-pressed to not have two teams because of AL-NL split.
