Yep and we want Fraser down there for the playoffs anyway so he might as well just stay down.

i dont think Worley is clear on how the AHL eligibility post trade deadline works this year.

He seems to be right about one thing. Heika mentioned that you still could only use 4 call ups, but this very good source says that's been eliminated.

It still would be nearly impossible to assign half your roster to Austin on the deadline, and then get them back to California in time for an evening game.

The ECHL trick I mentioned before probably wouldn't work because the AHL rule says they have to be on the AHL roster it seems.

Hey youd think a league such as the NHL would be interested in letting fans know information such as this and put up a faq on their website or something

I think Dallas is 13th right now in waiver priority. If they wanted Jussi which is debatable, I think they might have hard time getting him past Columbus or Nashville.

I think waiver priority is based on winning % rather than points which is why Nashville would be ahead of Dallas right now. Columbus, IMO, probably wouldn't want to add $3 million in salary next year though.

I'm scared of targeting this guy because I don't want acquiring him to be about the fact he's a Dallas kid, but would you want Stefan Noesen for Derek Roy?

He doesn't fill a need since he's a pretty comparable player to Brett Ritchie. He also

Absolutely. Noesen is a great prospect regardless of where he's from.

Question for star fans:
Why in the hell have I been reading that Eriksson is available (TSN)?
This is full on BS right? Why would they JN even consider moving him out?

I'd like him the stars prospect pool but RW really does seem like a position they should be addressing right now. I really hope they concentrate on finding centers and rs dmen

I wouldn't be surprised to see him traded for a decent prospect who is relatively close but who doesn't have a very high ceiling. Just speculation on my part though. I wouldn't be upset with draft picks either. Fiddler is probably the guy Chicago is looking for though, and not Roy, in which case Pirri just doesn't seem very likely.
Hawks need a top 6 C badly

Dave Bolland is an absolute joke ,, Bringing in Fiddler doesn't help Hawks that much (THough I would welcome Fiddler as #4 C and he fits what Bowman looks for low cost)

Still Roy must come to Chicago cause Bolland is an abomination

It is almost certainly just idle speculation from Larry Brooks. There is no reason to trade Loui Eriksson unless for some reason he doesnt want to be a Dallas Star anymore.

Not happy completely dominating the entire league?

What would you think the Hawks best offer for Roy would be?

What's Bolland's contract status? I'd welcome him here.

Absolutely. Get the best prospect or pick you can get for Roy. Obviously it would be preferable if it was a center or right-handed d-man, but Noesen would be a great guy to add. Him being from here is just a bonus.

There isn't really anyone on the roster who should be considered untouchable. Any bad team should have that attitude, and a lot of GMs express that kind of thing as a way of saying "no comment" but also making it seem like they are actively ready to improve their team.

The problem is hockey writers take that kind of attitude to shape rumors for website hits. Does that mean Loui is available? Of course, but that doesn't mean the Stars are shopping him.

At this point you grab the best players you can and figure out who you want to keep and who you want to trade this summer. IF you get 4 left handed defensmen so be it. Same with wingers. There's always going to be a team willing to swap one for the other as it fills their need as well.

I've never been an Ales Hemsky fan, but would anyone be interested in him? Not sure we have the pieces to move if there was interest there.

Still looking at Ryan Whitney out of Edmonton myself. Really good PP quarterback at the very least. And only 30.

Not at all. Not interested in players with a history of injuries.

I think we're past adding, and those aren't guys you acquire for the future.

The flare he brings makes him enticing enticing. And when he's on, he is on. He is kind of your poor man's Alexei Kovalev and that + the injuries makes me shy away. People around here have been on such a rollercoaster ride with him over the years. So up and down. At times he makes everyone believe he's a 90 point player, then he looks like a 45 point guy. Could need a change of scenery and he can be had. Just throwing it out there for discussion.

Linden Vey?

A rental isn't worth your top prospect but he's worth a good one. Also, I'm not really sure what you mean by "considering Jagr's age and contract"; he's a rental yes and he's 41, yes. The numbers that really matter are 31 GP 14-11-25.
