It's a great trade for Nashville. It'd be like us trading RJ Umberger for Teuvo Teravainen. Pure steal long term.

I'm surprised StŚlberg hasn't already been traded, but maybe that's just because the Chicago fans on Hfboards hate him so much.

I've always liked StŚlberg since he was undrafted and playing on a line with CBJ draft pick Kirill Starkov that dominated the Swedish junior league. IMO, he might fit with the Jackets.

The Caps trading Filip Forsberg was absolutely stupid. Forsberg really stepped up his game in the Allsvenskan playoffs and was a big part of getting his team promoted to the Elitserien. He was playing at a completely different level. I could see him doing very well in the NHL next season.

Edited to add: Forsberg could be coming over as soon as next week once the Kvalserien is wrapped up on the 5th. Technically, CBJ's Anton Forsberg could too, along with Daniel Zaar - if they are signed.

Sorry to hear that Patrice Bergeron has another concussion. I like very few players on other teams but always rooted for him. Hope he makes it back soon.

Not that I recall, but anything's possible. I prefer looking at things on a move-by-move basis; making a blanket statement like "players for picks is bad" doesn't sound like me.

Kudos to the Wild for getting Pommer btw, he will help them to be better than what they are.... I expect a solid playoff run from them, I did before the trade too but it's more so now..

Pittsburgh is stunning too....

Too early for "and there goes Brassard with the beauty assist"?

He's good on the PP. I think he'll help out the Rangers team. They can slot him properly 5 on 5.

Brassard always seemed to play well after coaching changes so I wouldn't be surprised to see him put up a few points in these first few games.

No sweat.

It's funny. If he plays well there will be a chorus of "where was this in Columbus?" locally and a chorus of "finally he's out of Columbus" everywhere else.

I ran hot and cold on Brass. Lots of "hot" lately. Need to remember the "cold."

I wonder what it's like for Brass, Dorse and Moore playing with their former captain, who's no longer captain, on another team.

Probably not that big of a deal since Captaincy means way more to the fans than it does to the players.

I thought it was weird all the Caps scouts wanted to trade him. Then again, Jarmo didn't trade for him.
