Injuries. Ryder ain't much better in that role and I would hate to see Moen with Plek and Gio again.

Apparently, The Sabres ares the worst 2nd period team in the NHL. Watch them outscore MTL 3-0 in the 2nd.

The Habs were the best 1st period team in the NHL (allowing only 11 goals).

Wow did we ever suck that period.
Chuckie looked the best.. but that's not saying much.

Subban has been terrible, as have the DD line. (hopefully my reverse jinx on Subban works from last game again!)

Yep, kinda reminds me of Leafs @ Habs, season opener.

A memory can be a curse sometimes.

Haaha yeah 7-2 and we were up 6-0 like 27 minutes into the game lol. Geez, look at these GA efforts at home this year in seven other games

Jan 27 N Jersey, W 4-3 (OT)
Jan 29 Winnipeg W, 4-3
Feb. 9 Toronto, L, 0-6
Feb. 12 Tampa W, 4-3 (SO)
Feb. 21 NY Isles, L, 3-4 (OT)
Mar. 2 Pittsburgh, L, 6-7 (OT)
Mar. 13 Ottawa, W, 4-3 (SO)

I believe Carey was in net for all of these too. Mind you there were 7 other games where we allowed 1, 2 or no goals at all and Budaj allowing only 1 in his two home starts. Hmmm, either Carey and his D get zonked out by the pressure of the home crowd or they just play too loose when he's in net and when the opponent is particularly weak makes it worse.

You know guys, at 1.8M per year, you'd expect a guy like Moen to actually do something and wake his team up. A big hit. A fight. A huge shift. Getting in a scrum after a whistle. He's just not doing it. It's really disgusting to watch.

1.An extra day off
2.Lousy opponent
3. Too much action at home

Second period, things will be different. Habs will win 3-2.

I want to see Ryder (back on the RW) and Desharnais together and Armstrong back on the 4th line. Gallagher, Pacioretty, and Desharnais have shown flashes offensively but are pretty bad in the defensive zone. Maybe something like:

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gionta
Moen - Desharnais - Ryder
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Armstrong - Dumont -White

Up until now I thought he was doing ok, but I agree at this point, he's gotta do something. Fight or even just strong forecheck that results in a goal.

At least the Isles are beating the Sens 3-1 right now. I'd be pissed if they eased up on Ottawa after being world beaters against us this year and pretty much any year they're horrible and we're not. Isles looking like a playoff team. I'd like to see it for their young team plus their loyal, spit upon fans. And then we could always say "Yeah we sucked against the Isles but hey, they were a playoff team!"

We need to hit the net, the boys might be trying too hard to hit the corners because rush after rush ended with shots wide or high. Just get it on net.
