lololol no.

Leafs don't need Ryan. They're fine at the wings, what they do need is a 1C. Anaheim is not prepared to deal theirs so... moot point. Move along, move along.

In the offseason Ducks might be willing to move him but will want a young 2 C and a young LW/RW for Ryan. We can give them Kulemin/Frattin as the winger but simply can't afford to give up Kadri.

How about Ryan for Plekanec straight up.

I love Plek, but I would do this.

I don't know if Mtl could make this trade now, not sure if Eller and Galchenyuk are ready just yet to take over, but at the draft maybe, Galchenyuk-DD-Eller down the middle should be fine for next year some good wings, only problem is experience.

Ducks fill the void of a 2nd line centre. They are losing a good wing, but maybe have
Peter Holland play wing early on will help them out.

Uh... not this again.

The ducks have a ton of cap space, they can keep all three.

This.

If anything, they'll move Hiller in the off-season

Not clowning but it is funny how leafs fans have started threads for Getzlaf, then Perry, now Ryan.
If Ryans stays puts are Fowler proposals next? lol

No, we'll move over to San Jose and start on the Joes and Couture. We're set with dmen in the future.

Oh, take it from us Anaheim fans, there is no wow factor in this. Being on these boards for us is like trying to read a really good magazine article while kicking away a dog that is relentlessly humping your leg.

Call me crazy but I'd rather want Hiller over Bobby Ryan. We score enough goals...another winger won't change that.

He's played under Carlyle before and I know he's had some injury issues the past few years but if the Leafs aren't sold on Reimer/Scrivens....Hiller is a better option than Luongo because he doesn't have a humongous contract.

Also: I've never seen the OP post anywhere near the Leafs board, so don't blame Leaf fans

He. Is. Going. Nowhere.
Granted but next year they will have under 11 million to sign 8 players. 6 players will have to be signed the year after which is the year before Ryans contract is up. Admittedly I am not familiar with the Ducks upcoming roster but I suspect that they will need some cheap contracts coming onto the big clubs payroll next year to prepare for Ryans contract renewal.

It doesn't seem to be the worst situation but it certainly will require some good management to make sure it pans out.

Come on guys, it's fun to dream but lets target something other than a winger. Wingers are the one thing we have plenty of so why not use our assets to address a position we're weaker in?

That being said we're probably looking at Kessel(if both players don't want to play for their respective teams for some stupid reason) or Bozak and Kadri and a third. Do you really want to deal Kadri during his breakout season? The kid could end up being better than Ryan(might not too).

Our goalie situation has been as good as its ever been in the last 7-8 years. Sv% is .917 for Reimer and .915 for Scrivens and they are both young.

Having said that, I don't think we need Ryan either for the same reasons you state. I'd love him on the Leafs but we have other issues to address....LIKE A 1C!

I miss Sundin.

As a Rangers fan, I'd obviously do something involving Gaborik or Kreider and Miller. I'm fine with losing those outstanding prospects for Ryan.

The only place those prospects are outstanding in is New York

I don't think Ryan moves anywhere anytime soon either, but if its a 2C you need, what about something around Turris for Ryan? I really like Turris, but if Zibanejad shows in the next year or so that he can be a 2C in the NHL, I could see something happening with those 2 as the centerpieces. What do Ducks fans think?
