I think a confetti cannon should be fired every time someone gets banned.

Like that idea... that or their avatar goes up in flames and that last post (edited of course) stays in the thread as a smoking reminder not to cross the mods.

What the hell does this even mean? Stupid vague quote explains nothing. Sounds suspiciously like an excuse to me. Just fix it you goombas.

I'm excited to not watch this game tonight and be productive.

First game in years I am willingly turning a blind-eye towards and you know what... it kind of feels good.

I wonder if Gillis is targeting religious players or just coincidence. Booth, Hamhuis, Malhotra, and going after Doan.

Let's keep the conversation on the game, and not on players' personal beliefs.

You know I realize that the coach's don't battle in front of the net, execute the plays, win faceoffs... I get that. But they do put the lineups together and they do or should motivate the players, and put players into positions to succeed.

AV does none of those things. He never thinks outside the box when it comes to motivation cause he thinks the players should do that themselves. If the players aren't executing properly then find a way to make them because that is your job as a coach!! Not to let the players figure it out for themselves.

If they are so bad in the faceoff circle then focus on faceoffs!! Drill it into their heads. Put plyers in psoitions to succeed. Andrew Ebett is not a 2nd line centre. Don't put him in that role.

I've been like this for most of the season... my wife is loving it, but I have to admit there is an empty hole in my heart with the resignation this team is pissing away their opportunity.

I used to make time for these games against "second tier" rivals, but now if the game is on and I have nothing to, I'll put it on. "This is what it feels like to be a Flames fan." - taken from a guy at work listening to me ***** about the Canucks AHL lineup, horrid defense and average goaltending.

Shorty is far too close to the team (actually an employee of the Canucks) to have an unbiased opinion. He tried hard to be a neutral observer but it's probably near impossible when he's developed friendships with the people he's covering. Gallagher is biased in the other direction.

How about we try

Sedin Sedin Kassian (get Kassian going)
Burrows Schroeder Hansen (option to swap Higgins for Schroeder)
Higgins Ebbett Raymond
Sestito Lapierre Weise

Hamhuis Garrison
Edler Tanev
Ballard Bieksa

?
