Obama's new executive order opens government data to machines

I'm only making this thread to discuss possibilities that might come from this new data, not to discuss politics. There's a separate board for politics.

This is a big win in my eyes. The government has some of the largest and most interesting databases in the world, and getting machine-readable information from them has always been a pain.

I'm really excited to see what people can do with all of this new data.
