i didn't think it would be good tonight, but this is rediculous. he should've been pulled way sooner.

Is there any excuse on why potvin did so poorly?

I'd add a thought here but it will inexplicably get deleted by the mods for whatever reason.
So, never mind.

Well considering all the penalties, they weren't too disciplined. But is it that possible Potvin is still rusty? And when will he get the can of oil?

I think Raycroft should've started tonight. But hopefully he'll get the start on Friday. See if he can hold the fort for a couple periods.

Raycroft plays the last nine minutes of the 2nd period, stopping all six shots he faces.

So, what's Felix's problem?

Watching Potvin on the Center Ice last year I was very disappointed when we signed him...

I don't know what to think about all this..Preseason or not 6, 7 goals per game is alot! I think we are in for a long season.

We need to sign Boynton as soon as possible...

On the other hand what's going on with our forwards? They have our best starters in the line up!

Bad coaching?

he's potvin, that's his problem. this is what you get when you sign a guy just to appease a fan base. he hasn't played since january, hasn't been a good goalie for 3 seasons, and hasn't been a top 10 goalie since the season before cujo left edmonton for toronto, displacing him. i'm rooting for him, just because i want the team to do well, but i just don't see it.

It'd be ok if it was 6, 7 per game (ok maybe not)...but not half a game!

Yeah, through two periods, Boston has 11 shots on net? Maybe they're not buying into the system/game plan yet.

i'm trying not to get too high (hasn't been a problem yet) or low since it's just preseason, but i've got to say the lack of scoring is as disturbing as the goaltending we've gotten from potvin and shields. even during training camp the scoring in the intrasquad scrimmages was very low, like 1-0, 1-1, etc...the montreal game, the only one they have won so far, was a 1-0 OT victory. I really hope they start putting the puck in the net...someone, anyone...and soon.

Um, it's preseason. Can we not overanalyze everything to death? Let's save our opinions until the end of preseason....

Shouldn't Hasek be rusty, too? He hasn't played for awhile. The guys in front of him are doing a much better job

Front page on BostonBruins.com right now....how funny is this juxtaposition?
Detroit up 7-0

The Detroit Red Wings are up 7-0 after two periods. Five-of-the-seven Red Wing goals have come on the power play.

Building from the ground up
Looking to build a Stanley Cup winner?

The recipe calls for two main ingredients: Goaltending and defense. Luckily for the Boston Bruins, they have both in great store in the developmental levels of their organization.

I remember reading on ESPN.com a couple days ago, he was rusty in his first game back. Think he allowed 5 goals or something.

I found a bright spot...

...notice the fact that thus far Jurcina has the most ice time but it one of the few that has an even plus/minus.

Looks like Rayzor's doing a nice job stopping the puck -- 14 saves on 15 shots so far.

*fingers crossed*
