Clearly, Nonis and Carlyle remembered this

Only in Toronto that they would hold a minium salaried player to a higher standard than a 6.5 million player. It's obvious many judge a player by his salary and not his contribution.

No he doesnt... one way contract =/= waiver eligible since I'm assuming this is why you think he does

Marlies play tonight, so I don't think Gardiner is up till tomorrow if he's called. Could be a trade too.

I guess Morgan Reilly is ready to play in the NHL. This is not a coincidence.

Leafs 0-2 without Koska in the line up.

Just saying.

It's about freaking time. Holzer was a minus 10 in his last 6 games.

More likely that they're hoping he can fill Gardiner's spot on the Marlies

I'm content by this move. The NHL was wearing him down more and more each game.

I expect to see him back up with the big boys again but for now he's better off in the AHL. I think that NHL experience did him well, and he can get back to working with Eakins on what he struggled with.

Good move, and I expect to see a more refined Holzer in the future with the Leafs.

That's what I was thinking. Let's hope Carlyle and Nonis see it the same way...

Bingo, Gardiner will be called up after tonight's game. Just in time for Rielly to step into a top-4 role with the Marlies.

i actually wouldnt mind getting komisarek in for a game.

phaneuf-gunnarson
liles-komisarek
franson-fraser

i thought komisarek played well when he dressed this season. if he didnt injure himself by acting like a boob he might still be playing.

we also need him to try and re-establish his value for nonis

Mark Masters tweeted that Dreger says the demotion is to make room for Gardiner although he has yet to called up.

If Gardiner is called up, I'd roll with this...

Gunnar-Phaneuf

Liles-Franson

Gardiner-Fraser
