I can skate backwards on ice.....throw rollerblades on me, I look like Bambi.
Just the opposite here. Fair ice skater, but roller blades feel natural.
Work talk is depressing. One of my bosses is an absolute ***** and has been driving me crazy lately.

I despise roller balding and roller hockey.

I have been ice skating since 4 and though I might not be the best skater speed wise, I feel no balance issues what so ever.

Roller blades though? I feel like I am in a different world. Every nuance I never even thought about on the ice does not lead to the same result with roller blades on. The most injured I have ever gotten playing hockey was roller. I went into the corner full speed in ice hockey mode, did a little cut to try and beat the dman and just smashed into the boards, broke a the collar bone and a few ribs. Its the stopping that really throws me for a loop, I just want to stop like its hockey and that just does not work.

Also when you fall on the ice, you just kind of slide. When you fall in inline, you fall and your skin takes that friction right away/

If it was up to me, I would have left after the 1st lesson.

All I remember was how miserable it was

You do realize you are supposed to be wearing clothing while roller-blading...correct?

You are? Guess that explains the looks I was getting when I'd go skating on Mass Ave on Sundays many "moons" ago

Ah good old roller blade hockey. There is a place out here hidden in Oakland called Dry Ice.

Just for Roller Blade leagues and all that. Big place, nice place. I like the store that sells equipment. I never roller bladed. I used to roller skate I thought the transition between the two would be easy. They have classes that teach you how to roller blade on Saturday afternoons I went once. Kept falling told myself I will get in shape haven't gone since. I wanted to play goalie in one of their leagues.

When I played street hockey as a kid we usually played with the goalies in shoes rather than rollerblades. Playing goalie in rollerblades is a huge PITA

I cannot explain how pumped I am for this. This game was my childhood.

Not too brag but sometimes my musical marketing genius even surprises me. I said last off topic that I believed 2 bands Dillinger Escape Plan & The Ocean would be on this tour called Summer Slaughter because Both are releasing CDs in April and both have been promoted on the Summer Slaughter FB page......

Lineup was announced today

LOVE The Ocean(The Band Lonnie........THE BAND)
