Thanks for all the advice. I do sleep with a fan on, so that's my white noise. It doesn't really help.

Scored Inglorious Basterds in the $5 bin today.

Looks like my luck has changed.

Anyone know any picture programs that are free that simply just resize your photo? I want to do something with some photos but they have to be 1280x720 and on my new computer I don't have photoshop like I used to.

Why not just pirate something from torrent? Seems like you've got at least another few warnings to burn...

Don't exercise. I cannot go to the gym until between 8:30 and 9:00 PM and I am wired for hours even though I am tired and take a hot shower after. Leaves me totally wired until about 1am.

ps Down to 207 lbs (from 235) btw, and fitting into a lot of old clothes, but not sleeping much

I don't go around and talk to women about their "habits", but the two that I have discussed this with say that it actually wakes them up. It has the opposite effect on my wife and she does get tired afterwards when she's with me.

I suspect that might be more out of boredom than any sort of physiological response

Anyone had any luck with ways to quiet your mind and get a good night of sleep (that doesn't involve drugs)?
First off, you need to try to stop thinking of my sexiness..

Secondly, melatonin and white noise machines are the way to go...I can't sleep without them now... also make the room on the cooler side and make sure it is pitch black...none of those LED lights from cable boxes, phones, crap like that...sleep on your side with a pillow between your knees and hug one of them...make sure your neck is straight using one or more pillows...

I absolutely love this:

No room for Nazis at Dropkick Murphys shows
The Dropkicks were in the midst of a medley that included AC/DC’s “T.N.T.” when the follicly challenged fellow began making what appeared to be a Nazi salute at the side of the stage. The website RocksOff.com takes it from there: “Casey noticed this and ran right over to the guy, smashed him in the face, took off his bass and hit him with that and then jumped on him and all out chaos ensued.”

Pretty cool. Guess that also means a Lenny Kravitz/DKM concert could happen!

<<<Queen of anxiety, checking in here.

at 4am I got up to pee...went back to bed. BOOM,mind racing. I know where you are coming from (especially over the last year).

I find I sleep if I "unplug" about an hour before bed. the breathing needs to be deep. but you need to let your mind settle. In your job you deal with a lot all day....I can imagine you have a lot to think about. you hv to detach and let it go.

I HAVE to sleep with a light on (I have had to since my dad passed away 14 years ago) no light, no sleep.

I know you said you dont want to do drugs. I hv a VERY low dose .5 mg Lorazapam if I really get freaked out or just need it. It really isnt that bad and there are no side effects. I need one maybe once every 3-4 months.

I hv been doing meditation for about 4 months now, its helped a lot.

find a way to let go.

The worst is if I'm travelling the next day, I cannot sleep the night before. I'll triple check that the GPS is charged, or that my alarm is set, tickets are for the right date and time etc.

March Madness is to sports fans what St. Paddy's day and New Years Eve are to party goers. Total amateur hour. Worst. Fake. Sports. Tournament. Ever.

I can't deal with it, and it's even worse now, living out here where they worship Syracuse.

I hope they ****ing get bounced ASAP.
