I love that Bruin fans are very passionate about their team, but if Chia listened to half the fans on these threads tonight, the B's wouldn't have anybody left on this team, except for Seguin, Bergy and Paille...oh, and Spooner.

Ryan Whitney is garbage, total garbage. Dude can't see the ice playing for the Oilers, who might have the worst defensive group in the league.

Seriously, he would not crack our top 7. Aaron Johnson is a better player.

I want Krug too get a look personally.

Keep in mind the oilers situation. Whitney, who has had injuries take a toll on his mobility, is trying to keep up with a team that does not focus a single second on anything but flying around the offensive zone. I think it's more obvious they aren't a fit for him than he's not good enough.

I'd love to see Krug up here too. Johnson is a solid player so I feel like Clode will let him play because for some reason Clode seems to like hanging on to veteran players instead of giving potentially great rookies a shot *cough* Pandolfo, but Krug could be outstanding, he's impressive at every P-Bruins game I go to.

Our issue at TIMES has been goaltending but Timmy had some nice leads to play with. This team can not get the goal that breaks the other teams will. They let teams hang around and hang around. You allow a goal and all of a sudden you have a game on your hands.
Good point. We should have had a bigger lead. If Rask let's that last one I and we're up 4-1 we're not talking about it. I still don't think Rask is "clutch" like Thomas was though.

What's with the offense with this team, we go through spells like this every year with Julien. Is it the system? I can't stand it. It seems like to often we play to not lose instead of keeping the foot on the gas. That's bitting us in the rear big time.

Mark Recchi was on waivers and a scratch before the Bruins picked him up and he played 2 and a half more seasons.

Consider the situation.

Whitney would be a good depth d-man. He's solid on the PP and he's got good size.
Patty, how is Ladislav Smid this year? Will someone pick him up at the deadline?

I've always liked Smid, the guy brings nothing on the other side of the puck though. I think he's the type of player the Oilers need to hang on to.

This 3rd period BS is downright obsurd. Maybe they should just cough up a lead late in the 2nd just so we don't have to be subjected to another choke. You know, just give up the safety when you're on your own 1yd line.

This team has been completely flat for quite some time now. No emotion, no fight, no nothing. There was a point where the Jets were tossing Bruins around like rag dolls and there was no pushback. The only game the Bruins have played where they looked like "the Bruins" in the last little while was the Caps game on the weekend. I think most will agree that was one of their most complete games of the seasson. This team needs to play mad to dominate a game and we haven't seen it much this year. I don't know if they're tired, pacing themselves, or just in need of a swift kick in the rear but from a selfih perspective, these guys are unwatchable at times. I only say this because I believe they are capable of more than what they have shown.

Hats off to the Jets. They took it to the Bruins and didn't quit. They were a step ahead much of the night.

Yeah, but Recchi was in excellent shape for his age, and one of the smartest NHLers I've ever seen.

Bruins need to work on conditioning if tiredness is having this much of a drastic effect on outcomes at this point in the season.

I'd be ok with Smid, besides Justin Schultz he's the only one with half a brain defensively.

Wonder if the Oilers brass is dumb enough to accept a Smid for Ference deal straight up

Totaly right. The Bruins need to hit, fight, and Marchand has to run around and be a little *****. That's when they play their best. The Bergeron line has been awesome but the Lucic line has been AWOL. They need to be more physical. And for the love of God, take Seguin off the power play. He guy is a turn over machine. Arghh! I hate losing!

That's true. The Oilers should keep him but I would think they would have gotten him extended by now.
He can eat minutes and seems to rack up a lot of hits. I rarely catch Edm's games these days but I thought he had a good season on a terrible team last year.

Losing third period leads is really crazy lately and something needs to be addrssed.
The Play of Lucic and horton have been rotten and changes have to be made.

Not liking, another 3rd period blown lead.
Maybe the team is starting to tune Julien out.

None of those names help us with the .500 hockey we've played this month.

Knuble and Pandolfo on the same team.

First team in the history of sports to employ two people from the cretaceous period

Edit: Unless if you count the New York Knicks

They are the type of players Chia goes after which is the point i was making. He's not bringing in big names let other names that are people are talking about. Chia shops at the bargain bin

Except for the one year when he went for the big name...and actually won the cup.

Funny how that worked

I'll just expect another Rolston.
