I've never understood the whole losing culture argument. It's like people try and compare the NHL to midget or bush league. As much as these guys play for the love of the game and do everything it takes to win, it's still there job. They understand it's a business like we saw with ROR. They know losing is something that's possible.
Tanking is in the best interest of the franchise. Finishing 9th or 10th in the west does NOTHING for us. It won't hurt our core because our core is really young. Guys we see on the team won't be the same guys we see 3-4 years from, except from the obvious one's.
Season is over. There's what like 17 games left? Shiiiiit, easiest year to tank ever.
It does make sense, at least to some of us.
But if you are right about it all, and i'm sure you are, then let the trading begin.
The earliest I can see it start is at the draft but I guess there is an outside chance that the Avs deal Stastny if they get a good enough deal. (I could totally see the Habs wanting to reunite Staz with Maxpac but it would need to be an awesome deal to trade him now)
But then, if you're even considering trading Staz, wouldn't you of had him between Landeskog and PAP for the past 10 games to try and maximize his value??
