Any sort of traditions or superstitions when watching the Bruins?

I try not to wear any sort of Bruins clothes when I watch them on TV and whenever I watch them I try to watch them in my room alone.

Watching on the HD TV with my father they never seem to win or hold onto leads

I don't wear any Bruins gear to the games at all. Never really have. Did as a kid but since then I don't see the point.

Almost always had a tin with me while watching the game for the past 5 years. Trying to quit. Usually put a lipper in right as the game starts. Force of habit from my baseball days.

Used to take a shower during every 1st intermission in the cup season.

Now I'm too lazy to get out of bed in the middle of the night.

Playoffs, I watch alone and Mrs. Odaat is very accepting of it knowing that this sport/team and playoffs are the only time I would make this request

During the 2011 run, I started eating the same pregame meals based on the night's success. Basically I was stuck between club sandwiches or fish&chips based on the restaurant... because almost every 'American' restaurant has one or the other. I was so sick of fish & chips after that.

ahhh the power of dipping.. trying to quit myself but its very hard . in fact as of this season ive only been allowing myself to chew during gametime..and my only other tradition is maybe take a little smoke whenever the bruins score . though every year i get older that slowly has deminished

Me?

Ya I have one.

I generally text my friends "Clode",
post "Clode" in the GDT,
and when I'm not on hiatus from Facebook, I post "Clode" as my status.

I try not to argue with my girlfriend on gamedays (she's a habs fan) Whenever I do, it seems like something always bad happens to the team. Lol

I try not to argue with mine either. She loves going to games, but doesn't "get" the need to watch every game on TV.

Usually it's something like:

You wanna watch a movie/go to trivia?

Not tonight

Hockey game?

Yes

What time?

7

Why are you on the computer the whole game?

Moderating

Why do you get so upset when they lose?

Hahaha me too, she's been a good sport this year coming with me to the sports bar when the Bruins play.

Nothing much, just ninja-like focus on the game--lapses in concentration, like my wife walking into the room and talking to me--too often lead to the opposing team scoring. This has happened too often to be chalked up to mere coincidence.

I have also been known to have a lucky spot on the couch, a lucky snack or beverage, or perhaps lucky clothing, but that is more for the playoffs.
