Wonderful GDT .... lots of giggles, guffaws, and snorts were made while reading.

Red Wings ...well they are what we think they are, and I would be happy happy happy with a 2-3 OT lose and us getting a loser point.

The Wings still have so much talent up front and Babcock is a hell of a coach.

Lastly, Backstrom is due to fall over into a coma due to exhaustion very soon ..... this game might be 0-2 in the first 5 minutes.

Go Wild, try to stay competitive!

I think if we can hang in and weather the storm for the first ten minutes or so, we could be in business. If the Wings get a fast start we could be in trouble very early on.

3-1 Wings. Prove me wrong dammit!!!

We always lose in this stupid arena...

I used to project we would win, always felt like we would, but then they lose!

I'm trying a different approach...

I am a Cleveland native and both sides of my family live in Cleveland minus my immediate family here in Minnesota (have lived here since I was 1 1/2 years old) and a set of relatives live in a suburb of Detroit. Two cousins are going tonight. I told them to please allow us to win just one time there and let it be tonight, thanks. lol

I'd save that favor for the playoffs

Points are crucial and even though we had a travel day yesterday Backstrom still had a little time between games. If this was a back to back it'd be more telling. I also think with where we are in the standings and how tight everything is Yeo is going to try to ride the Backstrom train as long as he can.

I wouldn't mind us tossing in Hackett just to force opponents to prepare for a different goaltender but I also understand why you go with the hot hand too.

I'm saddened this isn't a Josh Harding start because as everyone knows, only Josh Harding can start against Detroit.

Of course! Like Pierre isn't going to use the Zach Parise backdoor to get in on that one.

Let me know if I need to change anything with lineups or whatnot.
Best GDT you've ever made.

Fun drinking game: any time Edzo makes a derogatory remark about the Red Wings, take a sip of beer.

Any time any of the announcers mention "Sidney Crosby" take a shot.

Guaranteed hangover tomorrow by the end of the first period!

Take one sip for every "drive."
Take two sips for every "DRIIIIIIVE!"
Take a tiny (almost imperceptible) sip every time the Wings commit an interference that isn't called.
Take a big ol' swig for every shaky goal Backs allows.
Take a shot for every mention of Shattuck.
Take 2 shots if Crosby comes up outside of an ad for a specific upcoming broadcast.

Me too. One loss won't put us out of contention, but if Bäckström burns out and we go on a weaker streak... If things look bleak from the start tonight, just pull him.

Last game everyone was complaining and predicting that we would lose in Vancouver which has been the worst building for us, and we won!!

I predicted a 3-2 win for the wild. It worked so I am predicting another 3-2 win for the MN Wild! I am going for the opposite approach

I was for playing backs against Van but sort of thought he might get a rest after that...but he was strong like ox last game. lets hope he's on it tonight, too.

I like starting Backs tonight, and Hackett Saturday. Backs had trouble the last afternoon game and that'd give him 4 days to rest before breaking the curse in DAL.

We should join forces with Avder to create the playoff GDTs if we make it there.

Prediction: Koivu Kronwalls Kronwall. Again. Oh, and we win 4-3.
The way I'm going I have no idea if I'll have anything for a GDT by then.

I've honestly been trying to come up with themes or flesh out the ideas I put in my idea file and I've got nothing.
