I know Backstrom played better on Monday, but I still hope he gets a rest today so he gets 4 days off before we play the Sharks at home on Saturday.

Although you could flirt with the Donald Duck universe for the next Anaheim game.

Backs allows 7 goals in the first and Yeo doesn't pull him until the first is over because he doesn't want to insult Backstrom and we lose 7-6.

Going to miss the first period of this game unfortunately. But hopefully we are up a couple goals by the time I get home! Wild win 4-3.

Hoping for a good game tonight, best of luck.

And of course as a Wings fan hoping for this.

Thought there has been some entertaining hockey when these two teams have played so far this season. Brodin is a stud looking forward to seeing him again.

Just gives Pierre another route to Crosby talk. Patrick Eaves took a puck to the jaw in practice, so he's not on the ice tonight. Detroit missing their former Shattuck player. They wish they had another Shattuck product available, as Sidney Crosby has been terrorizing the east! Detroit needs to have Sidney Crosby on their minds as they will have to face him a lot more next season due to realignment! Sidney Crosby Sidney Crosby Sidney Crosby!

I think I'll just mute the game, don't want to hear about Crosby.

"Go have fun out there tonight."

Either the Wild win a tight one 3-2, or the Wings blow 'em out of the water 5-1.

Very true, have yet to see an NBC game where he doesn't work him in somehow.

Somehow Eddie O will at some point allow his hatred for the Wings into the broadcast, listen closely. First of all no minor infraction will go un-noticed. If there ever close to too many men, Eddie will be all over it.

I hate NBC games because of this crew.

Doc will spirit on the telecast by overusing that very phrase while calling play by play. Oh my!

anyone have a problem with the dialog on the NBC spot for this game...I mean aside from the "rivalry" aspect. Detroit is a Western contender, and the Wild are just "lurking". Well, we're lurking above the contender, with two more wins.

Here are some great posts in the Wild/Red Wings facebook post by NBCSN:

Quote:
The Wild? Hardly a rivalry. Even if the Red Wings lose, we're always the better hockey team.

Wings, BTW you have to actually be good to have a rivalry the Wild is like a warm up or real teams.

LETS GO RED WINGS, it's been a rivalry since Suter screwed his career and signed with the Wild instead of Detroit

I love how a Detroit player just used a Herb Brooks quote when talking about Detroit being hockey town

and how they compare Howe to Brooks as well, Howe wasn't even born in Detroit....

I'm nervous. Really want this win.

Those Detroit Red Wings fans are delusional attempting to question us as a hockey state. Whatever. Who cares. Ignorance is everywhere.
