Two of the most creative playmakers in the game, yet we have the most one-dimensional power play.

To be honest, he's been terrible tonight. He's been invisible (which is good) last couple of games I thought (minus Vancouver), but he has been awful tonight. He could have prevented that last goal but didn't know what he was doing.

Red wings BENT over and abused that period by the refs and Lashoff.

Okay, some of this falls on the assistant coaches' shoulders right?

Indeed. That's what he should be doing. And more 4th line please. Move Gus up with Dats.

We've had 3 days off and we look sloppy. Not very good coaching.

Renney is in charge of the PP, but he reports to Babcock.

Bottom line is we have some major high-end playmaking talent out there that many teams would kill for and those players have not been put in the best positions to be successful.

Less North/South and more East/West passing.

Whatever. If Dats, Z and Brunner bury a couple of those quality scoring chances they had it's at least 4-3.

Sloppy play compounded by horrible officiating leaves quite the bitter taste in one's mouth.

And who do you propose they sign to play goalie? The ghost of Terry Sawchuk?

Wings have dominated this game, way more shots, more scoring chances, but unfortunately Lashoff, Smith, and Howard are on the roster and so the team is getting blown out

On the bright side we're still going to be 3 points up on 9th/10th place with the same amount of games played and if SJ loses we're 3 points up on 8th/9th/10th. I'd much rather be up on them by 5 points but at least we're on the inside.

keep your posts focused on the game guys, not each other. And if you see a post you think we should deal with, report it instead of quoting. It takes a lot more time to clean up when 10 people quotes it.

Thanks.

Sorry wasn't a fan when he was in Grand Rapids, think I ranked him the 24 best prospect in our system and still feel about the same way. He has been better this year but the dude is a career AHL captain guy who is nice to have as your organizations 8th, i.e. never on the actual big club barring injury. Now he is here in part because of injury and since his contract is under 900K I don't care, but the guy should not be counted on and hope isn't with the Red Wings much longer.

Yes, I understand he is a rookie and growing pains and what not, but he isn't that good. Just never really has been, I would put Nicastro in his rookie season right now over him if this is the role you want filled.

I might be in the minority here but I don't think we're playing overly bad. Minnesota is just capitalizing on their chances... whereas we are not. A goal that should have counted, a couple bad penalties, one being a bad call and we're deep in a hole.
