I'd like him. But not for Knight. Sorry. That kid is special and emulates everything that is about being a Bruin.

Knight and a 1st? No. I'd do a couple of other prospects and/or picks but Knight was born to be a Bruin. Furthermore from what I've read the draft is going to be a talented one this year and the B's really need to be in on it as much as possible. I want to win it all as much as anyone this year but I'd also like to be in the hunt for the next several years and for that you need horses. We need to cultivate more big players with talent. It's well and good to pick B Marchand but he's one in a thousand. You can't teach big or tough, those atributes with talent and you have a special player or 3.

Fleishmann makes 4.5 M and that is probably what the Bruins if they were to offer Horton a contract pay Nate. I can not see Florida trading him though although he is far from an untouchable and may be a bit overpriced. Still good player, and goes well with Krejci and could be dynamic. bit streaky and not overwhelming playoff stats but talented guy. I'd love to see him here

I've been on-board with this idea for a while now.

I don't think it would cost too much; and would give you insurance if you can't get Horton for the right price in the off-season. Then Chia can make a decision on Horton vs. Peverley going forward.

I'd rather give up our 2nd (maybe 1st) round pick than give up Knight. Pick is going to be very late, and this pick most likely wont be ready for at least three years. Chara is our window to win another Cup, period. Knight could be ready to contribute in the next year or so while a player like Subban (higher ceiling) wont be ready for 3-5 (if ever).

Like I've been saying with these type of proposals, I feel like we have other assets we can give instead of Knight. Including Knight would have to be a no brainer trade, which I don't think this is (at all actually).

As of now Peverley wins that argument.

The days of Horton being "Nasty Nate" are apparently over

Fleischmann would bring a new dimension to that 2nd line, speed and and a solid shooter (not a bad passer either)

Lol yeah no chance he waives in that instance.

Flash would be perfect for us. I'd give up a lot for him.

I have been impressed with Fleischman in his time in FLA but the only fit I see for him is a square peg on the third line this year and a sort of Horton replacement thereafter. He has some experience playing with Krejci but the entire dynamic of that line would change......I think I would be willing to give up a good prospect or our first for him, but I am not sure about that even.....I see a bad moon a rising here.....that pick could be a lot higher than it seems.

Fleischmann & Mueller would be my targets from Florida.

Granted I know they have both had injury issues but Fleischmann has shown he can be a difference maker in the offensive zone and it looks like Mueller has finally rebuilt himself and could still be an impact player as a PP specialist.

I can't see Florida moving Mueller, he's gelling with Huberdeau on the top line and in theory he's still young enough where you could build around him as one of your franchise cornerstones

Why would we want to trade for Fleischmann to be Krejci's winger when he's only scored over 20 goals twice in his career? I get that he's had chemistry with Krejci, but he makes 4.5 mill a season...and we're trading a first rounder and a good prospect? On top of that, he's poor/lazy in his own end and non-physical. Do not want.

Of course he's only scored over 20 only twice, dude was in the bottom 6 for the most of his time in Washington.

He barely even played in Colorado due to that pulmonary issue.

He'd be worth it, i'd rather have him then Horton rotting a perfectly good top 6 line spot

I agree, I too think Boston would be better with the guy who produces less, hits less, is worse in his own end and makes more money. Why hasn't Chia already paid out the nose for this guy?
