The Official Song of the Colorado Avalanche

Steps to perform the perfect Avs Road Game!
1. Down in the first period 0-1
2. Can't capitalize on Saccoplay
3. RoB rather play with a purse than stick 0-2
4. Good play late in 2nd, 1-2
5. Come out and dominate third
6. 4th line grinder beats Hunwick on the outside, throws the puck in the middle going off Zanon's stick 1-3.
7. With less than minutes remaining Avs drive to the net poking the puck in 2-3.
8. 30 seconds remaining Avs win the draw and EJ's stick breaks.
9. ???????????
10. Profit
11. Opponent's backup goaler with a 40+ save performance for 1st star selection.

"You know I believe we came out strong tonight....got into a bit of a rough patch there in the middle of the first and took a penalty that led to Nashville's first goal. From there you can just see the guys get a little deflated but I'm supremely proud of the fight they showed tonight. Never gave up and kept pushing for a big goal that would turn the tide. Unfortunately, sometimes you just don't get the bounces you need. We'll be right back at it Friday against Detroit, no worries."

Preds outplayed us last game handily, and this one is in Nashville, so I'm predicting a 5-2 victory for Nashville, Patric Hornqvist 2 goals and 1 assist

Avs goals will both come in the 3rd period, Parenteau from Duchene and Barrie, and then McLeod from Olver and Palushaj

Avs have won two out of 18 away games.

They've got this.

Looks like he should be in a Western movie.

EDIT: probably without any lines...

After the (spoiler alert!!) death of a few main characters, he would be a solid addition for the 4th season of Walking Dead.

Speaking of which, how will Sacco and my favorite hockey team doing today agains Nashville.

A painful boring 1 - 3 loss or will we really pull it out?

In that case, keep your hands away from snowblowers.

I think Nashville destroys us 5-1 and Duchy scores a wicked goal and then goes back to the bench and hands his stick to Sacco and says "I'm out, you go play and see what it's like to play in your system."

Back when the radulov rumors were started again with him possibly coming back to the NHL I wanted the Avs to get him just because he has been known to hit his coach.

Hopefully the last game I have to watch O'Byrne in an Avs jersey.

Good point. Hopefully the last time watching Obyrne and Zanon in an Avs jersey.

However, we do need both of these guys for todays game. This is a huge game to lose. We lose this one and we potentially gain sole possession of last place in the league! FLA is playing TBL today, both teams are strongly in the hunt for 1st overall.

A loss for us, and a 3 point game between those two, and were golden.

I find it pretty stupid that were still only 10 points out of a playoff spot.... If we had just went 5-5 in our last 10 instead of 2-8, we'd be 4 points out.

Oh, what could have been this year.

I don't know how we took our already terrible d and made it worse over the off season. I felt like last season we just needed someone who could keep up with ej.

Ed - wait, never mind, we're at the bottom of the standings so we could pick him up no problem

The team already can't play defense, adding Ozolinsh wouldn't exactly improve that situation.

Although, he'd probably lead the defense in points after about ten games.
