Is it Wed yet?

Good: I thought FES played fairly well.

Miller.

Ott, Kaleta, Scott.. Flynn.

Bad: Sekera

Embellishment calls on both teams

U: Nothing made me too sick.

Awards:
Sekera, Sekera... those sticks don't lie

The Good -

- Played a tight game most of the night
- Generated on the PP but couldn't cash
- FES had some good zone time
- GPF has some good zone time
- Tank lives

The Bad -

- Still unable to convert on the PP.
- Sekera with a couple rough shifts earns the "Leopold Award" for tonight.

The Ugly -

- Hodgson on the fourth line only makes sense if someone is here to look at Hecht in a non-fourth line role.

And the Tank rolls on

G:
Miller
Foligno
Khudobhin
Myers (Had some good moments, especuially after we went down and he kinda just went "**** it" and had that breakaway chance, and started jumping down low)
Philly/Wash OT plus loss helps those rooting for a tank
Only 3 days till trade deadline time
Team Discipline

B:
We played scared for most of the game (in not taking many offensive chances)
Powerplay (for the most part bad. Had good moments, but still bad)

U:
Sekera

G:
First two periods were pretty decently played hockey for a 0-0 game.
I got a lot of reading done too.

B:
Sloppy officiating, but it's been there all season.
Lazy defensive mistakes giving Boston two gifts.

U:
CoHo on the 4th line. Absolutely crazy. You don't have to showcase a $1M end of career guy that would probably clear waivers. No reason to do that.

I remember people talked about doing this last year, and it was the quietest trade deadline of our generation.

I'd save the vacation time. They're not picking up anything of substance. Guys out for picks will be it.

Sekera was bad on both of those goals but you can't ignore how poorly Ennis was on the first goal and Hodgson on the second. Ennis was chasing around the first goal and Hodgson had a poor effort back-checking.

It's 3pm for trades to be sent in to the NHL office. They can be ANNOUNCED after 3pm, of course, but they have to be in at that time.

Rolston - "Wanted to put Jochen with Pommer and Steve Ott for more stability on that line", was looking for better balance, better defense.

RR trying to get canned? I'm just a tank rolling through, boys.

Either way, I didn't see a lot of it, so I don't know much. I guess 0-0 for most of the night is a plus?

I think we can confirm that Ron Rolston will be back in Rochester next season. No way this guy gets the starting gig.

I think many will simply enjoy hearing about the selloff.

Pina Collada, some chips, Pommers trade, Gerbe, Ennis, Hecht, Stafford....

And another Pina Collada.

Funny thing though... it worked until he put Hodgie out there with Ott and Pominville and he floundered on the second goal.

Nothing quiet about Gaustad and Kassian for Hodgson and a first.

UGLY: Rolston quoted as saying, "I thought that was probably one of our best games since I’ve been here."

WHAT?

I don't care about defensive prowess. You got no goals, Ron.
