The Sabres are listening to offers on D Robyn Regehr but haven't ruled out possibility of extension. Lots of interest. #TradeTracker

I know it is now two days old....but I hope Bruce Largeman is wrong about an extension. Derp de derp da teetely derpee derpee dum starring rob Schneider.... Do not extend him. Sell for assets like an intelligent rebuilding team should.

ESPECIALLY if interest is high. Maybe...you know... Create a small bidding war with this leverage of multiple teams interested?

Maybe Regehr signed to an extension is one of the key pieces the Kings need to acquire Malkin

I was going to ask you the same thing.

Going to sleep now for a couple, I want to start working by 9:30-9:45 this AM. Just upped my read-only twitter account to follow all the beat writers, waiting for a trade to break.

Gimme something good, Mark Lazerus

I have zero problem extended Regehr to an extension if he wants to stay in Buffalo and will take a reasonable salary. 2 million per, 3 years, it'd be a steal.

I think he's over-valued by GMs around the league (his type of player) and therefore a prime candidate for a trade. Move him before everybody realizes he's mediocre.

I too would be upset if there's an offer for a 1st or a 2nd (which there easily would be if there are a couple teams interested) for Regehr and we extended him instead. Now, some of this is out of our hands with respect to the NMC he apparently still holds, but accepting that, the Sabres should not extend him over getting a solid pick. Sign a mid-level veteran defensive defenseman in the offseason if need be.

The chances of Regehr helping this team move forward are much lower than the chances of, say, an additional 1st rounder to work with doing the same. At this stage of his career he is too replaceable for a team that's not in the thick of a Cup run.

Bruce Garrioch tends to be full of hot air, but I think what he's saying is pretty obvious to every one at this point.

I mean Regier did come out and basically say everyone is available. I think it's also safe to assume that trading Vanek would require a blockbuster trade and that's unlikely to happen at this point.

If Regehr was able to play to the same level he has been lately AND the sabres were in a position to be competitive atop the East next year, then I'd say resign him. BUT I have doubts about both.

I fear him turning into Craig Rivet over the course of a multi-year contract, though I'd rather they resign him than see him walk.

I find it extremely unlikely they're willing to give up on him, especially considering what they gave up to get him. On the other hand, I understand that they're anxious to win now and Kassian doesn't appear to be able to help them with that.

Reading the thread on the Trade board about Regehr to LA...I think the only way that blossoms into something bigger is if Darcy can find a taker for Miller...we wouldn't want to acquire Bernier first...it would diminish Miller's value since teams would know we'd have to move Miller then...

Conditioning stint. No more. He's been fighting a back injury. The assignment is not a demotion.

Vigneault said "he has to play" while referring to the stint in CHI. Would lead me to believe that he isn't in the plans for the next handful of games with the Canucks, no?

sure I'd like him, but I can't imagine Buffalo and Vancouver coming up with a deal that makes sense. Frankly I'd rather go sign Clowe or Clarkson.

Is this their farm team or a figure of speech?
