I'm real excited for this one. We've possibly played our best hockey of the season the last 2 games, finally having showed our ability to blow teams out. I doubt this game will disappoint.
I think the key for the game is how Keith and Seabrook play. Seabrook's effort was inexcusable last game, and Keith has been shaky more often than not this season. If Keith plays like he did against Colorado and Seabs isn't lackadaisical like the last game, I think we win. If they are space cadets we are going down.
This game will separate the men from the boys. Hawks being without Sharp and Hossa definitely a disadvantage. Ducks have won 12 in a row at home and have been on fire. The Hawks lead over them may very well be cut tonight.
Not sure if the Ducks are 100% tonight but it is shocking that we are favorites or close underdogs at all sports books tonight w/o Hossa and Sharp ON THE ROAD against the second best team in the West.
Ducks are without Perry tonight I believe. That being said without Sharp and Hossa there need to be some big performances. Toews and Kane are the obvious ones, but some of the secondary guys are going to have to show up big time. With Kane playing on the first line tonight the second line is going to look weird. Hayes/Boland/Stalberg maybe?
Edit: After thinking for a second, maybe Coach Q just plays the 3rd line as the second line and puts Boland back in his shutdown defensive roll tonight.
