Habs' fans obsession with Bruins (and vice-versa) is just ridiculous. All they do is complain about each other's diving.

Intangibles aren't up to snuff, and his skill doesn't make up for the lack of intangibles.

Random fantasy brags:

I was getting frustrated at my shutout luck this year, with only two shutouts on the season one week ago. But my goalies notched FIVE shutouts this week and I am suddenly within striking distance in the pool!

Could you imagine if they met each other in the playoffs?

Looks like Foligno took some of that trolling with him to Columbus.
The force is strong with that one.

Oh yeah Bobrovsky isn't so bad either

I find it really obnoxious that, after a full night of games, the main story on the TSN website is still about Crosby being hurt.

Also, as of right now, Columbus is in the playoffs and St. Louis is out. Crazy stuff

But you don't understand. APie is WAY better than Karlsson.

Yeh, the poster boy of the NHL being injured for the third consecutive season with potential long term ramifications is obnoxious.

At this point it is news when he ISN'T hurt. We don't need to see articles chronicling the rest of his life.

I didn't get watching many Blues games last year, and when I did Pietrangelo was not my big choice to watch. I noticed him sometimes but was often times watching the other team usually.

This year, with Karlsson out, I figured I'd watch some of their games to see who I thought would probably be the likely candidate for the Norris (after Weber was struggling). Pietrangelo has definitely not lived up to the hype I've heard on here.

Personally, I think it has a lot to do with him being on a team that doesn't get much recognition. While it can be good, it can also be bad. If Karlsson makes a mistake defensively, it's highlighted on TSN's Sportscentre, shown on HNIC's intermission reports and discussed among the panels on TSN and Sportsnet. When Pietrangelo does, it isn't really heard of because he doesn't get close to the air-time Karlsson gets.

Just my opinion.

Pieplate has played 32 games. He has the same number of shots as Karlsson has after only playing 14. Karlsson still has 1 more goal. Pieplate is -6, Karlsson left at +6. Karlsson has 2 gwg and a shg, nothing for alex.

If that happens, I think the mods on HF should be paid to control the gongshow that will take place.

I find it funny that Karlsson gets labelled as on offensive dman because he puts up points. I don't remember Karlsson jumping into the rush last year nearly as much as I see OEL or Piets.

On HF, 50 points is good... because that way, you're a "two-way" defenseman. As soon as you cross the 60 point mark, you automatically suck at defense.

Boston should win that series but they've been playing poorly for the last little while

More dialogue between Leafs and Flames re: Kiprusoff trade this wknd. Not close, but more discussion will take place in next 3 days.

Kipper and Reimer a good 1-2 punch IMO.

Didn't Kiprusoff claim he wouldn't report to another team if traded? Can't see many Gm's hopping on that.

Sounds like Edmonton is about to give Smid a long term deal. TSN says might be around $16M for 4 years.

Seems a little high for a guy that just doesn't contribute anything offensively but he is very good in his own zone and they need that so I get it.

Smid's better offensively than Volchenkov. Probably a little high due to the ceiling drop, but it would've been decent value pre-lockout.

3.5 for Smid is good value for what he brings. He's one of the only reliable guys they have on the back end.

Kiprusoff's trade potential isn't new. He has maintained all along he would consider all options...trade, extension, etc. #tradecentre

He doesn't have an NTC so he's trying to invent one by claiming he won't report unless he likes the team.

Sounds like the Islanders will be all over him. Just their type of player.
