Yeah except we've never won a Cup so the Kings would roll us.

I think I'm doing it right.

Chris Hansen should remember that the ducks are missing The Great Nick Bonino.

Boner > Sharp and Hossa

you don't understand, we play in the NW, therefore all of our wins are meaningless

I didn't pop in to just toot the Ducks horn, but someone said literally, "you're team is an illusion". Welp, it's time to use your illusion I guess if you want to beat the Hawks right. I'm not disrespecting the Hawks, either. I think both teams healthy, ya flip a coin. But the bottom line is no "illusion" beats the league's best team 3 times, while the rest of the league combined does it twice(that's from NHL tonight). The reffing was horrocious, too. Apparently ya can't kick your stick a few feet, buy ya sure as heck can heave a broken one across the rink. NHL fail.

Not to take anything away from the Ducks, but those games could have gone either way.

But congrats on beating them again.

King Kopitar , betting your car is dumb. The Ducks match up well against us and you never know what can happen in a rivalry playoff series.

Ducks earned their win tonight. Had a bloody ton of nasty scoring chances. Buried enough to win.

He bet that the winner of that series would go on to win the cup.

Unless you're referring to one team getting so beat up they fizzle out.

Uphill battle again, too. They called Sbisa for INT on a hip check on a guy coming down the wing, but didn't call a hook on Perry on a break, and I think Leddy giving Cogs a high speed wobble on another break. I guess it proves Cogs don't dive. Oh well, don't want to sound like a cry baby after a win. No need.

Oh ya, props to the Hawks for sure. They got guys coming back real soon, too.The Ducks really needed this one, though. The alternative was losing 5 in a row, and doubt setting in.

Eh i don't think so, kings are tougher and more physical, and since we never draw any PP's, nor have a consistent PP I have major concerns about that matchup

Heck, why not make it a three-peat?

...but seriously. the Pens are looking scary. I don't think they necessarily addressed their needs, but they grabbed what they could get their hands on. If Ray can get one or more very solid defenders, look out.

I'm gonna stay the hell away from this thread regardless of what happens with the Kings-Wild tomorrow, but man, am I looking forward to that game. Ducks-Hawks was pretty epic too.

The only elite teams in the NHL this year are the Hawks and Ducks.

I would put every other team in the west and every team in the east a notch below both.

The fact they both got out to such impressive starts, then went on their lulls pretty much at the same time makes me think both teams will be ready for the playoffs. Both teams can afford to lose a few right now and construct their playoff game plans accordingly. It isn't like there are highs then lows then really big highs in every year.

Both teams should scare the heck out of the rest of the league and should be building teams to play against them. The real Cup this year will be Hawks/Ducks if they meet in the playoffs.

Lots of bad calls and no calls in this game.

The slash that broke Hayes' stick on a scoring chance right in front of the net was pretty obvious too as was Souray high sticking Toews in the mouth. What can you do? The refs just suck. Expect them to screw up every game, every chance they get. In the playoffs it will be even worse because the stakes are so much higher.

He was the 2C when we won the cup. Since then he's always been a LW, even preferring Kane to move to C over him last year. None of us understand why because he's good at the dot, a great two way player, and not as good of a sniper as his stats might say. Kane, Toews, and Hossa are all terrific playmakers and every Hawk's fan will lament about all the wide open chances Sharp doesn't bury.

Kings have beaten both of those teams this season. Just saying.

They started off slow, but now I think L.A. can be considered in that elite tier in the West.
