Diaz is somewhat near Coburn's value. You must know nothing about Diaz. Mezaros really?

He's slowed down quite a bit since heading on over to Philly.

What happened?

So Read must be somewhat near Plekanec's value?

Yep, it's been discussed a lot that Weber + 2nd theoretically works well for Talbot if the Flyers don't get a better offer.

Unfortunately, Weber can't be hurt for the trade to go through. Is he expected back before the deadline? I understand it was just a minor injury.

That trumps both EDM and MTL's offers.

1.A 2nd in a deep draft is worth more than a 2nd last year.
2.Max is worth the 2nd straight up.
3.I wouldn't be surprised if Weber turned out great for you guys, he's talented he just lacks a little bit of motivation and luck. A change of scenary can totally help him out. He's still young.

I'm tired of doing countless counter-proposals but ehh

Weber+2nd for Talbot+6th

nope. but why would a bottom-feeding team trade a prospect and a pick for a 3rd/4th liner. makes more sense for a playoff team to offer that package.

We just got a significantly better offer from VAN. No longer interested honestly.

And will not happen, you can count my word. Also, I don't know how good Coburn really is. Matt Read is a good forward, but in no universe is Coburn worth Pleky.

Who knows if it'll happen or not. I'm sure a VAN fan knows more about his team than a MTL fan and a PHI fan.

Also, I know Read is not worth Plekanec. It was a metaphor for how far away Diaz's value is compared to Coburn.

He is on pace, prorated over the course of an 82 game season, for 10 goals this year. 4 goals in 30 games. That is more what you can expect from him, and in line with his recent past. He does bring more to the table than goals, but to expect 19 again is unlikely to say the least.

To help us get a PMD in all honesty.

We don't really need him anymore.

I don't see the point because we could use him, but this is Holmgren's party honestly.

McGinn and Laughton could jump up to 3rd line wing roles immediately. Cousins potentially as well. There's intrigue around Flanagan. Holmstrom will be healthy, and hopefully he can take that 4th line center. A lot of us would like to re-sign Gagne. Wellwood and Zolnierczyk are waiting around in the wings.

Talbot has no real reason to be here. Ship him out before we start not needing rather than letting him float around and see what kind of value we can get for him after the fact. It also helps that other options are younger and cheaper even if they're not immediately better.
