Philly-Bos and Philly-Mtl

To Boston - Danny Briere
To Philly - Koko and a 1st

To Mtl - Scott Hartnell
To Philly - Beaulieu and Mtl 2nd 2013

Philly sheds a significant amount of salary in Briere and Hartnell.

Philly adds a late 1st, late 2nd, future top 4 d-man and future top 9 forward.

The extra salary allows them to go after another big fish.

Hartnell to Boston is what I'm looking at. Briere would have been a good fit except for the concussion.

Are there actual talks of Hartnell becoming available? I know he has a lengthy contract but for what he brings it seems reasonable. I'm just unsure as to if Philly is looking to clear it out to make room for future growth.

Any insights from Flyers fans?

Why? I like Beaulieu as much as the next guy, but we are deep at D. Hartnell is exactly what this team needs

No, you'd rather trade Ellis and a 3rd because you think it's a good deal, right ?

I hear ya.....my original thought was Beaulieu plus our 2nd for Phillys first at the draft if top 10, but I thought I would get completely roasted by Flyers fans..... So I made what i thought was a deal that helps both teams

Well I forgot about the concussion, but basically because Holmer is clearly not Feaster...

That's something I'd consider more (people think our core is now people like pleky, Gionta, Markov and we need people in the 26-30 age group but our core is young I'm looking to strengthen that)

Better for us, but I don't think Philly fans will like it

Just hypothetically I doubt you guys honestly finish in the bottom 5 I think maybe 7th-11th apart from Seth jones no Dman in this draft is worth more then beaulieu not over selling him it's just a fact he could be ready to crack your D next year be a 5-6th dman and 2nd unit pp guy you can draft a Nurse, Pulock, Zadorov or Ristolainen but they don't help you guy for 2-3 years at a minimum

Agreed cause idk I just think a 20 year old fits in more with Philly then a 17-18 year old

Keeping Hartnell and dont really want anyone on Montreal not named Subban or Tinordi for him! Hartnell scored 37 goals last year, he's not some 3rd or 4th line scrub

Okay first off

Beaulieu=tinordi and subban>>>>beaulieu+tinordi

You don't get subban without someone named either Giroux or Simmonds+1st
