Jaromir Jagr to your team

Assuming he asks for a trade or the Stars are intelligent enough to get something for him before he retires or signs with a different team.

Teams in playoff contention: Would you want him on your team and what is he worth as a rental/potential sign for next season?

Its up to Jagr whether he moves or not, but I would love him to come back for another year in Dallas.

How about a 2nd + some mid-range prospect? (ex: Patrick Holland, Steve Quailer, Joonas Nattinen, etc... )

Eberle, Hall, RNH, Yakupov, Schultz +

I understand it would have to be a pretty big plus.

Nothing now. A 3 million dollar contract offer this summer. Which won't be the biggest bid, but the Oilers don't have the biggest need for a winger.

Winnipegs biggest need right now is a scoring RW for the second line, who can help on the pp. He'd be perfect.

Not sure if management will buy at the deadline though. I hope they do.

I'd love to see one of my favorite players of all time play for the Lightning.. unfortunately if we miss the playoffs again it would be out of the question. I love this guy though.. always have always will.

The reaction would be mixed but I'd still welcome him back as a Pens fan. Don't see it happening though.

Joe Sacco and a years supply of Arby's classic roast beef sandwiches. The ones that are only beef with nothing else on them.

So Boston needs a player who can be play the wing on the third line, help on the powerplay and some veteran presence (Chia loves this going into the playoffs ex. recchi and rolston). I think Bruins would definitely be interested. What would stars want from bruins

Caron and a pick.

However Jagr has been playing absolutely amazing as of late, and Dallas isn't going to be "out of it" in 2 weeks. I really doubt we trade Jagr at all.

I can't think of a reason any legit contender wouldn't part with a 2nd and a mid-tier prospect in a second for Jagr.
Dude's been playing at top level for 20+ years, even if your top-6 is crowded, a half-decent coach will find a way to get a guy like Jagr in.

He may be ancient, but he's still leading his team in points.
And it's not like he's cherry picking or anything, dude is simply playing great hockey.
Pity Dallas had some injury problems, they might've had a few points more had Whitney and Lehtonen not missed games.

if he doesn't retire after this season

i would love for the Leafs to sign him to play with Kadri for 1 year

he has played on so many teams, but he needs to play in Canada in his career

I'd give a 2nd for him just to bench him and make him deal with the scorned yinzers.

Ryan Smyth, straight up. If you are not happy with the offer, I guess we could add Ben Eager.

I think Edmonton fans missed the part about him going to a team that is actually in contention. That team is still a goalie, 5 solid defensemen, offensive chemistry, and a coach away from being anything.

For all I know Jagr will want to stay in Dallas, but if the opportunity comes along to go to Boston, Chicago, Anaheim, Vancouver, Montreal, or Pittsburgh, I'd like to think he'd go as a rental for a chance to win a cup.

I feel like Jagr just wants to play, and it would take a very good team for him to accept being traded to just pad the 2nd or 3rd lines somewhere.

That's a steep price for a rental(I'd think a 3rd would be more appropriate if they are interested in K-Conn, otherwise a 2nd+ another prospect) but Jagr is such an ideal fit.

He would bring the needed puck protection and playmaking to the 2nd line, not to mention bolster a floundering power play. On top of that, he is the type of talented veteran who instantly commands the respect of his teammates - I think he could really expand Kesler's offensive game to become more team oriented, while being an indispensable source of hockey knowledge for young wingers like Kassian and Jensen.

The Canucks likely only need a top 6 winger for a year or two while Kassian/Jensen prove themselves so Jagr's age and short term contract is no issue. He's a perfect fit IMO.

Horton can play the wing on the third line, bring Jagr with Krejci!
