Can't see it happening, but if Ducks fail to find a 2C and stick Bobby there again, how awesome would it be:

Perry - Getz - Jagr (I think Perry could play left, he's always in front/behind the net anwyays)
Palmieri - Ryan - Selanne
Winnik - Koivu - Cogliano
and a 4th line mixing: Bonino, Holland, Etem, Beleskey, Staubitz

Jagr and Selanne could keep trying to one-up each other for goals on the same team

Kings fans are at odds as to his availability and need to the team. He is an RFA next year. With Muzzin playing so well, he might be expendable. Alot depends on Mitchell and Greene coming back.

I'd do Martinez for Jagr if the Kings are lined up for another playoff run come the deadline.

Dallas needs picks and prospects rather than aging third liners. When you included those guys you are basically giving the Stars players they'd then have to flip for other assets. What do you think those two are worth?

Dan Cleary is essentially a 3rd line rental for the rest of the season and admittedly has less value than a younger player performing the same role, but he doesn't have zero value. He's got six goals this season, which is more than every player on Dallas save two (and two are tied with him with six as well). He has extensive experience in the playoffs and should your team be sellers and make it in to the playoffs, you'd be happy to have someone on the roster with his experience.

Patrick Eaves is 28 years old and still has another year on a good contract. He's a very popular player within the fanbases he's been a part of, and despite having just come back from a very nasty concussion situation, he is a GREAT player for the energy line. He has playoff experience and for his price, he is a good asset to have in the bottom six.

You're getting both those guys AND a 3rd round pick for a player who could potentially walk as soon as the season is done. Jagr is a tremendous player and has certainly seen better days, but he isn't going to warrant a treasure chest of resources. I proposed this trade under the context of Dallas being sellers and Jagr wanting to leave town. If neither of these things exist, then the proposal changes.

But let's stay grounded in reality. Jagr isn't some hot commodity anymore. Yes, he is undeniably one of the best ever. He is NOT a game breaking forward anymore. He's north of 40 and guys like Valtteri Filppula are going to net more value than he will. Flip's value is estimated around a 2nd rounder, maybe a 1st according to this board, so getting Jagr for a 3rd and two serviceable players who are better than ones you currently have on your roster is a good deal, even if one is a rental.

You're not going to get a highly touted prospect for and old-but-useful Jagr who wants out of town and your team is selling. Again, this is all said within the context of "What if the Stars are sellers and Jagr wants a shot with a better team".

Surprised no one has mentioned the Rangers, a team in desperate need of some scoring.

Any interest in David Savard? We'd prefer more than a deadline pending UFA rental for him, but, I mean, c'mon. It's JAROMIR JAGR.

Ray Whitney would definitely be desirable in a Savard deal, but would he be moved?

I've always been of the opinion that if Jagr was going to play anywhere in Canada, it was going to be for Montreal. With them battling for 1st, I'd love to see them pick him up

I would LOVE to see Jagr on the Kings playing with Kopitar and Brown. We can't offer much in terms of high picks, but we do have some very usable parts. What about Vey + 3rd '14 + 4th '13?
