He turtled and fell to the ice. Loved it.

Hope Orr does that again if Kaleta wants to go for cheap hits on our players.
I hope he does too. The Sabres are a small team that still gets intimidated easily. Once Orr was gone, you had guys like Ott going after Phaneuf, Ennis and Pominvlle throwing their bodies around, even Myers dropped his gloves ready to go on Gunnerson. I don't think Myers has ever been in a fight in the NHL. The more times he wants to jump Pat and get kicked out the better. It only helps the Sabres.

The only person helping out your team is Ryan Miller, and hopefully he will get out ASAP

Yeah he's the one who scored 4 goals tonight and the shootout winner.

Honestly.... I've got a problem with this approach.

Does anybody truly believe that Patrick Kaleta is going to go home tonight, and re-evaluate the way he plays because he took a couple of punches, while Colton took 4 minutes in penalties, got himself kicked out of the game, and left the opposition shorthanded? I don't.

Realistically, if the league isn't going to keep the dirty and dangerous rats out of the league, then Colton Orr should be going after Thomas Vanek or Cody Hodgson.

Orr's such a ****in beaut. Glad he's back with the team. McLaren lost but thats a loss to be proud of. He landed some big shots in there and ate a punch too.

Clearly you've thought out the repercussions of something like that happening.

Same could be said over your love for Kaleta's reckless style of play.

Kaleta loved every second of that. This "beating" by orr is not going to deter Kaleta from playing the way he plays. He's a energy player who lives on the edge. He does go over the line from time to time and I wish would avoid situations in which will get him suspended (i.e. the hit on richards. That was just a stupid play that he had no reason to make).

The majority of games Kaleta plays in he is fine. He hits hard (and clean) and is also a good penalty killer. He draws penalties and can occasionally chip in a goal or two (I know he has none this year).

The fact that these threads pop up every couple weeks just proves he is doing his job.

I never said I love his style of play. I just find it funny people praise Orr for something that had a greater effect in costing his team a win instead of sending Kaleta some sort of message that matters. Fod gods sake, as Orr was getting escorted to the dressing room, he's standing in the box laughing and clapping at Orr. Jokes on them.

The Sabres have to be getting tired of dealing with the constant drama around Kaleta. It seems like every day there's something new with this guy.

Orr reminded me a bit of Darren McCarty going after Lemieux there.

The Game midsconduct rule is a disgrace to our sport. It gives the refs some sort of God complex and they affect the games too much.

I don't think there is any Sabre that had a problem with Kaleta tonight. He got them a 4:00 min powerplay out of the whole thing. Kaleta would take that trade off everytime.

this is one for the ages folks

a good ol traditional beating on one of the leagues biggest jokers
kaleta was too scared to fight fraser, and mclaren, so orr dusted him up

if youre gunna take runs patty, dont be surprised when you get "the call"

that was great, hes lucky orr got kicked out

Read 5 of the 6 pages that's enough

I LOL'd at when Orr slowly skated towards Kaleta and Scott skated a lil in between them

Scott didn't beat Mclaren's ass he won but he didn't demolish or decimate him. Mclaren most likely KNEW his job was to keep Scott busy so Orr could go after Kaleta.......

For people saying Rinaldo is next didn't Thornton already "take care" of him?

LOL just noticed Kaleta chirping at Orr from the penalty box......guy is an idiot....his visor saved him

Would like to see a Orr vs. Scott round 2

And those mentioning Lucic vs. Kaleta last year Lucic throw a lot of punches that connected but they mostly connected with his visor.....Lucic did rag doll him down at the end........

Love it.

Kaleta runs his mouth a little too much for a guy that rarely answers the bell.

He seems to have toned the antics down a little lately, though. When he's not headbutting opponents and flopping all over the place, he's a decent penalty killer and good grinder.

Kaleta seemed awful quiet for the rest of the game. He was obviously running his mouth before the draw, which is likely why Orr went after him. He continued to run his mouth from the box, because he got his ass beat in front of his hometown fans. He was embarrassed.

Thats a toss out of the game. Doesn't even let him take his gloves off kind of reminds me of when Perry jumped Ballard.

Absolutely loved watching that video. I just wish the coverage was better, I really would have liked to see more of Orr vs Kaleta. Absolutely hate Kaleta. Obviously Scott is tough and I thought it was funny watching McLaren & Orr figure out who will take on big Scott and who gets to dummy Kaleta.....awesome!!

McLaren did a pretty good job vs Scott. McLaren looks like a tough dude.

Kaleta was terrified at the whistle, no talking no eye contact with McLaren or Orr. But, as soon as he gets in saved by the refs and hes in the box...starts his tough guy act!!

While I agree that this incident won't deter Kaleta from playing the way he does (he'd be out of a job), I highly doubt he "loved" every second of being manhandled like that. That was quite clear judging by how worked up he was in the box, for a guy who likes the stir the pot and not be overly emotional.
