Turris vs. Kadri

2 great C's for their respective clubs. Now tell me who is 'better'. Take into account every aspect of the game.

- Faceoffs
- Hands
- Passing
- Shooting
- Defensive play
- Physicality
- Hart
- Competitiveness
etc.

i'd go with Kadri now and future, but i don't think it's fair considering that Turris doesn't have a no.1 center to ease the pressure of opposite top lines.

this would be better saved for next season.

Timing for this poll is off. Sens are decimated with injuries thrusting Turris into a role he isn't ideal for. Maybe next year will give a better indication, but right now Kadri certainly has shown more offensively and will probably continue to do so.

Based on your criteria

- Faceoffs -> Turris by a mile, though Kadri will probably improve quickly
- Hands -> Kadri, Turris is no slouch, but Kadri excels here.
- Passing -> Kadri, same as above
- Shooting -> Turris, his bread and butter.
- Defensive play -> Giving the edge here to Turris, Kadri probably underated in this department, but doesn't face enough of the top lines to get a great read in my viewings.
- Physicality -> Kadri, Turris is adequate here, but Kadri is certainly more agressive physically.
- Hart/competitiveness -> Not sure how to rate these ones. Seem like the same thing to me. Neither player is a floater or gives up when the team is down, so I'd call it a push. Some people might give it to Kadri just because he is more physical, but then you have 3 criteria for the same thing.

fine. Bozak isn't a no.1 center... but Kadri isn't facing top lines every game like Turris has since Spezza went down.

get it now?

Last night Kadri was a plus 3, had 3 assists, 4 hits, was solid defensively and was up against the Stamkos line all game

I wonder if Canucks fans would want Bozak + Kadri + 2nd for Luongo now?

*waits for Canucks fan to chime in with "nope" and leave thread.

Great breakdown, see it the same way.

Still too early to say for sure with either of these 2 guys, could swing one way or the other in the future.

Disagree on Turris' shot being "bread and butter", 20 games without a goal, then a few games with goals is really inconsistent. He said after his training he could see himself scoring 30. If he's going to do that he needs to put it in far more consistently.

I'd put shooting at a push.

Voted Kadri now, Turris future.

His shot is still amazing. It just wasn't working. Still his bread and better.

You have to give it to Kadri now, in the future is really a toss up with them still being what 22ish? I want to say Turris will be better, but they will probably be close, Kadri will probably get 1st line time while Turris is behind Spezza.

Really close. Turris has better two-way play but Kadri is better offensively (not by much for either). I think Kadri's higher point totals will win him this poll, but Ill still take Turris as I think he has a higher compete level from what I've seen. I also think Kadri is playing extremely sheltered minutes right now whereas Turris is facing top lines every night until Spezza is back.

Kadri has been amazing defensively. I don't like using this stat but he is +16 for a reason. Kadri's compete level has been through the roof. Sheltered minutes? Last night he played against Steve Stamkos' line. Kadri had 3 assists and a +3. Stamkos was invisible. They just started playing him against top lines, so we'll see how he does over the next 18 games.

Like I said, Turris is awesome. But most of your point are invalid this season.

Didn't say Kadri's wasn't, I just think Turris' is better, and one game against a top line isn't really a valid argument either. Like you said, we'll see how Kadri and Turris both do over the last batch of games.

Kadri's slowed his jets in the past 10 or so. Turris has done just the opposite. That said:
Turris now, Kadri Future. Both legitimate #2 Cs

Kadri has 13 points in his last 10 games, Turris has 7 points in his last 10 games. If that's slowing the jets I'm happy .

Anyhow Kadri now and later.
