Dallas Stars forward Brenden Morrow has waived his no-trade clause to help his team complete a trade with Pittsburgh that sees the veteran sent to the Penguins.

The Penguins also receive a third-round draft pick in 2013 in exchange for prospect defenceman Joe Morrow and a fifth-round pick in 2013.

He was the Leafs' leading scorer in the 196364, 196667 and 196970 seasons, and the team's top goal scorer in 197071 and 197273. Keon was considered one of the fastest skaters in the NHL, and one of the best defensive forwards of his era.[3] He would usually play against the opposing team's top centre, and developed a reputation for neutralizing some of the league's top scorers. In 197071, he scored eight shorthanded goals, setting an NHL record.

HFBOARDS calgary board (iginla gives a list 4 team he'll go to).

2 of the teams apparently Boston/Pittsburgh. Them teams getting a shot at adding him doesn't bode well for our chances of advancing very far this play-off. The other 2teams are chicago/LA.

Nonis might not want to start using up our assets this time around if this trade goes to either Boston or the Pens.

Pens are most likely out of it with the addition of Morrow. Boston are probably all over it though.

id say pit is out with acquisition of morrow.

Iginla on boston would be a scary thought.

Hope he stays west.

this offseason is big for the Nonis regime. Just making the playoffs this season is good enough.

Iginla on Boston would be pretty scary. A Lucic-Krejci-Iginla line would be a tough line to handle physically (if Milan got his head out of his ass).

Given a first round exit is very likely, I'd relish the opportunity to play Pittsburgh.

It would be a huge learning experience, and would force them to elevate their game.

i prefer us vs the habs or sens. we lead both series 2-1 this season IIRC and would just be great to knock either of them out, habs more then sens.

This is on hockeybuzz also saying Iginla has waived for them 4 teams. There was also a article suggesting Nonis was talking to the Flames about Kiprusoff on March 21st.

Kippers stock is about as low as could be right now and he is signed through next year at a 5.8 mikkion cap hit. Seriousy would Nonis want him? I'd pass unless it was multi player with salary goin back.

Heres tsn link to his waiving NTC for 4 teams.http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=419005

That's the exact kind of situation we should be looking for, in my opinion. Get a veteran who's capable of playing like a starter (had a great season last year) to mentor Reimer for another year or so. Scrivens isn't ready for the NHL yet, I don't think. He's played well, but is still looking shaky most nights, and if we're looking to make any kind of noise in the playoffs, some experience would be a huge asset for our team.

If the price was right, I think that would be a fantastic pick-up.

Would have to be a cheap price though, he's got maybe 2 good years left.

3rd+Bozak?

Would definitely do it though, great for the playoffs too.

Looks like Ovechkin is back. Up to 31 points on the season now.

People always write him off in trades and is he done.. ? It gets annoying , glad to see him heating up.

The price is a cap hit of 5.8 million next year when the cap is going down and he's been rotten coming off injury.

Lol at the two dives Burish and Perron. What are these guys thinking? Clowns. Hand down fines and suspensions for embellishment and see it dry up.
