I agree with the term but I think the payout should be lower

If he's willing to take a short/medium-short term deal, it would make a lot of sense. The only clear upgrade I can think of out there is Semin, who the Canes are probably going to be willing to pay.

His current contract ($3.5M for 2 years) would be perfect, I'd consider giving him slightly more or an extra year honestly.

Ryder will decide his own fate. All depends what offers he gets.

It wouldn't be Gionta...

Depends. But yea, if he keeps this pace. And plays as well as he usually does in the playoffs. I can see the Habs trying to re-sign him. But he'll probably want to see what he can get on the ufa market as well.

yeah Briere isn't going anywhere.

And neither is Kristo! Party animal? The kid is in college. Look at Toews's's's history at UND. By that logic he should of been traded too!

Alright guys, if it was from some random kid on twitter, it's obviously not a legit source.

This is the kid that started the Briere rumour.

He apparently works at HockeyBuzz... Such a legit website.

I really want to read that one...
1) they don't speak French
2) no provincial income taxes (or next to none)
3) it's a dry cold not a humid one like in Mtl.

That's all I got.

2010: Tyler Toffoli (Kings best prospect, tore up the AHL as a 20 year old)
2009: Kyle Clifford (young power-forward currently on the Kings)
2008: Slava Voynov (one of the best young defensemen in the NHL)
2007: Wayne Simmonds (tearing it up in Philly, a fan favorite)

Yeah, 2nd rounders are worthless
Yes but they traded Simmonds and won a cup as a result.

Which proves that Simmonds is even more a great 2nd round pick no? When you are able to trade a 2nd rounder and get a significant piece of winning a cup....If I'm the Kings head scout....it makes my day.

Brière....diagnosed with a concussion. So that's why he's available for just a pick....

For all the Clarkson fanatics, Dreger just said there have been no meaningful contract talks between his agent and Lou Lams so far.

People here are gonna say that the price is too high and we must keep draft picks.

Clarkson is worth trading draft picks for if he'd commit to resigning.

Do you wanna bet that some here will still think it's a overpayment and ask for Bergevin head?

Just watch it.

They would prefer to trade a 7th round pick for Tom Pyatt.

Injury aside, you wouldn't want a player that is over a PPG in the playoffs? He's amazing in crunch time. To not want that type of player on your team is insane.

You'd likely lose the bet.
