Preds @ Mighty Ducks 7 PM

Minimalist party

We've already got point percentage standings top ranking, now I want number one on the points side of things

even if we win in 3 they will still have the point lead. Hard time of year Chi-Stl b2b now La-Ducks b2b. Good to see the tream racking up the points so far.

By 1, with 3 games in hand, 3 games in hand that they will still have after the game. And each team currently has 21 ROW which is the most in the West.

I'll take anything other than another 3+ goal lead collapse; hair cannot take it anymore. Go Perds!

2 points today would be big in trying to keep some distance from the pack in the Central. Let Winnipeg, Minny, Dallas, and Colorado bludgeon each other to death in the background and nip at the Blues heels while they're at it, while we steer clear.

Ducks are playing solid hockey, but are still a vulnerable team. Love to see us jump out early again...while doing a better job holding on.

Mumpy Ducks...that's hilarious for some reason.

Truth be told..no matter the outcome of this game, no one can consider the stretch we have just gone through anything but a success. Even if we end up with 5 of 8 points...against the slate of teams we just got those points against...there really isn't much more anyone can reasonably expect.

I'd have to think Hutton gets the call. Tough luck for him if so. Plus, it would be hard to tell him he's sitting again, 24 hours after we gave up 6 goals.

I don't think it's tough:

"Hey Carter. You back up Pekka Rinne. If he wants to play, you sit."

I like hutton, but don't feel sorry for him at all. it's the big leagues, you have to earn playing time and confidence.

tough game tonight, of course they all are, but this one especially. but... it's hockey, anything can happen at any time. as we have proved time and again.

By the way: in 17 previous back-to-back games in SoCal, the Preds are 9-6-2 (1-1 in OT, 0-1 in the SO) in the second game.

Honestly, I'm surprised Pekka isn't in. Hutton has something to prove tonight, I think he'll play well.
